#763 WOYWW

Welcome, some wild winter going on across the USA....IOWA today we had SUNSHINE, No Wind, but  Minus  -25 wind chill...COLD.. Here on the farm for the past 4 days We have very little snow. The strong winds 40/50 blew away the snow, our road was good, the blacktop big drifts on one side, and the main hiway had been pretty much snow blowed out.  Lots of accidents, We just stayed hunkered down home.  One main Interstae from Southern Iowa where my son lives, Avenue of the Saints was still  shut down going North . 

I have really had about 4 hrs a day to redo my Crafty Space and I so much enjoyed it. Found things I've totally forgotten about, and even my floor space is free.  I have a bit to do in the north end of this area but it's all fabric/Christmas to put away.  

It's the day we share our desks and HERE at Stamping Ground is reason why. 

Haven't been working on a project I can share as yet.  We haven't yet been able to gather with his family due to weather.  Hopefully soon.   This photo below came up ????it's one above and I cannot delete it If anyone knows why blogger changed  prompts let me know.  I spent 3 hrs trying to get my email and back up to work.  Shut all down came back 2 hrs later and WHALA...seems to be ok.  ???

Happy Day to All,  It's 5 am here and about my normal time to rise and shine.

I missed last week, totally confused as to what day it was, and we both were struggling with sinus/aches/pains/no appetite.  But back to normal and have some energy. Drinking Gatorade !  Kind of dehydrated I think.  It's the season, but I think all the germs will be settled, as we now have SNOW and COLD temps.  

Weather in USA is tragic from coast to coast..Here in Iowa about 4 counties are missing the heavy 11 in snow fall and we are one of them. about 5 inches. Now Winds 30/50 predicted. more snow and very low temps 10 to subzero thru the weekend.  Will be ok, if we keep electricity.  

We had a wonderful time visiting my son and family, Dec 31/Jan 1....with some great weather for travel time,  Got new photos.  Cael junior at ISU, Cami freshman AZ State, Cash sophmore high school. 

I have been putting away Christmas. General within rooms, and the crafty space.

Now working on Valentine's ...I'll share a few after we meet with his siblings in a week or so. The snow put a damper on our get together.  

Little Bailey sleeps a lot during the day !  ...going on 15 and so well cared for !!!  

Well here's the reason for the post.  Ms Julia at Stamping Ground gathers us up thru Mr. Linky and we share our desks, our highs and lows.  It's a great group and I am thankful. 

I am working on 2 smaller tables as it's quite cool downstairs.  I can create quite the mess. My mind has so many ideas I can't keep up...It must be an age thing.

Welcome, it's the day we share our desks....Here Ms Julia keeps us all together.

We have had some unusual weather here....no Snow and nights 20's  days 40's. They are talking possible 50's over Christmas !  

My workspaces are atrocious...................This is a wheel around book rack, No books just most all my Christmas papers, etc is stored here and wheeled out of storage area when the season arrives. 

My main desk pretty well done creating here.  I've finished my 3x3's up through 28th

I wrapped most of the gifts and mailed almost all of my (short list this year) cards. It's the 1st year in most of my adult life I have not created a Christmas letter. Just a short note  on the card. 

This is a small patio table, glass top which has never been outside since I moved to the farm 20 years ago.  TOO MUCH WIND/DIRT to keep it safe.  Have used it for special projects and this month that was doing Christmas cards. Not many homemade ones, just the store box cards.

Here are Four cards I haven't shared to our group yet  But they are  Dec 23 to the top left, the journey to Bethlehem, and right the24th  night before Santa comes, bottom left 24th arriving at the stable. AND the 25th  The birth of baby Jesus.

Good Morning,  or Good Afternoon  it's 3:40 am here and I've been missing you.

The day we share our desks  Ms.Julia's blog is how you link up to join or visit others desk.  Haven't been up to posting,  And now it's a busy time of the year.  

November had lots of issues.

MY Desks/ are a BIG MESS  as is the whole downstairs, I've got 2 small trees that stay decorated so all I do is bring them up sit them in a favorite place and make sure the lights are working.  I can't carry up the big totes,  so little by little this week maybe a few of my favorites and only ONE Nativity.  My spirit's broken !!!!  We are home alone most Holidays  Hoping to send out Christmas cards to the many friends who have lost a loved one the past few months.

I'll be around not sure what time   He is still in the process of yes or no  on going to Wisconsin  (5hr drive ) for a very dear friend's funeral Thursday, would be a night away , but the weather is suppose to be great 50's and no snow ..... I'd go alone if it wasn't for my driving knee and the overnight stay.

Good morning, thought I had another day !  It's freezing cold here, but weekend snow has melted.

Could not sleep so started my November Nature  daily 3x3's 

And my desk, I had it cleared before I started and now kayos, 

My hubby finished up his anhydrous spraying of fields and is officially DONE with field work and one tractor now in storage !

He is going to put clear film on 2 big windows to keep cold air at bay. Winds have been terrible. I plan on putting up heavier curtains so best do that this week. Warmer weather next week !!

#751 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Welcome, running late today, it's been a great week of not being home !   And today I leave for an fund raiser for our hospital  A JEWLRY PARTY....cheap prices !  So quick and short.

BLOG of Julia's is where you can partake. My actual craft space hasn't been used since last week.

These are buttons I found in the blue tin can at a Thrift shop yesterday $2.00  to the right are some unique old ones

Everything on this above table was 10 cents....lots of playing cards (I have a Collection) and I use in a few projects.  some old music pamphlets, sewing patterns  adorable ceramic knobs.

Well Fall in all it's glory has brought back some great temps, 60 and 70's and Color is really taking place with all the trees. My favorite season.

My desk wondering about my next few 3x3's for our daily posts  Ocean theme is dwindling

I brought out Halloween boxes (on the floor left) and scattered about papers, Need to get busy If I want to mail to the grandkids.  On this table to the left are paint chips !  I sorted out by color/size and found a great display piece in my storage area.  The box below that has lots of  advertising/with colors of paint chips in groupings. I do use some 3z3 's  for backgrounds and I love the green's to make leaves.

Hubby finished up corn/beans just before the rains came, and now he's preparing fields for next springs crops, Ripping corn stocks, then disking ground to make make it a black dirt field again.

Oh the signature sign is back !!!!   Welcome, maybe a start to a great day.   Harvest is winding down. All the corn and beans are now in storage. Only discing to bring the black ground back and  should beat being complete before the rains. WHEW!!!

Posting a Corrugated Journal I made a few days ago, as I had no where to go. Ended up with a dead battery in my vehicle. But after charging it's ready to go !  If necessary.

Now to my desk !    oh the joys of SPACE....I'm so blessed,  and I did take time to clean up the biggest share of the area, so I did some decoupaging using some tree disc he cut last fall. 

 The biggest was a darker wood and doesn't show up as bright.  I am new to this so will have to do a bit more  research !  .   Today's the day we are sharing our workspaces at Stamping Ground  many more desks to visit  and you can partake.

Thanks for all the visits last week,  It's cool here but with no winds it's been  a good fall for us.

Good Morning, it's 2 a m here, having to ice my knee and unable to sleep so what better to do than share time with the folks  HERE for our weekly visits to share What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday !

Today's 3x3 card for our theme is Ocean October, I used an embossing folder to make the background

My desk:   the start of a journal...........cardboard pages and who knows what I am applying to them. No doubt distressed collage, vintage fabric, lace and a surprise...(to you and to me.) for the theme.

This will be the cover.....will bind together with jute or a metal ring .

#29 One of September "Stamps" 3x3's  A real envelope as came in the mail to me  I cut in 1/2 and I rubberstamped the  middle   

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.  Hubby is finished with corn harvest, and is working on beans, but today we take the combine into the shop for repair. Some bars? need to be replaced, had to replace bearings last week, hoping it's only a one day job and that they can do it TODAY.  He's ahead of the game this year so there is time if no storms come.  We have errands to do:   replenish household groceries/a new battery for my car/lunch !!!!/ food for the cat !!!   So a trip to the city again.
