Oh happy days ! Just remembered it's Wednesday the day we share our desks thru Mr. Linky with our hostess Ms Julia HERE It's also my 1st son's birthday, a Happy 44th I hope. They are now in Germany and what an ordeal it's been. Since May 13th dislocated from their home in U.S. A. left June 13th and still no furniture arriving nor the other car. On a ship somewhere !
My desk: with the lack of MoJo it's a piece an hour, or a day, a few days skipped as I couldn't take being alone, I went thrifting !! And I had a great day. My one desire was a grilled stuffed taco, an iced Mocha coffee, and later a piece of coconut cream pie. I felt like a new person.
I thought I took photos of my found treasures, but couldn't find them this morning to share. But it seems I'm always looking for something. Is it age? Is it I've become so unorganized ? or is it the new updates I constantly have in our famous computer world ? I wish I knew.
And we too are having a week of high, hot temps 90's with high humidity and a haZe from fires north in Canada, Minnesota and working it's way even from the West coast. It's depressing. Best to stay inside. We do have air conditioning so I really have no complaints. They are reporting 1930's was much worse, no air, no rain, dust bowls, people dying. I just googled, Images for Dust 1936 USA and it was unreal.

I’m so glad you went out and treated yourself, best way of dealing with the blues! And don’t worry about forgetting stuff, I do that all the time and age is definitely involved, I’m afraid! Hope the heat dies down for you, the NW and Canada, it’s been odd weather around the world.

Glad you went and had some fun Sylvia. Hope the mojo finds its way home soon and your son's furniture to Germany! Unfortunately the new Delta strain of COVID is extremely contagious and two jabs are really needed to help fight it off. Very few people are in the hospital with it in the UK if they have had both jabs and they are a couple of weeks past the second one. Keep cool, stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

What a mess for your son. I hope that wherever he is he is not having to suffer the devastation of the floods that Germany are experiencing. It's a funny old world - you are hot, parts of Europe are in flood and we in the UK are experiencing heat like never before. We have an amber warning in place. Oh for air con! Nothing like your 90's but too hot for us - we just are not used to it.

It's good to treat yourself now and then, well actually the more the better Lol! Don't worry about forgetting stuff I do it all the time, too many distractions. Air conditioning must be wonderful, all we have are fans and lots of people don't even have those and if you want one now you've no chance. Only just getting round to commenting after two exhausting days with Ben - lol. Loved every minute but goodness - how much energy a six year old has - even in this heat! Don't worry about losing stuff - I do it all the time but eventually things sort themselves out and they get found - probably my age but I don't worry - my Gran lived to be 100 so I may have another 30 to look forward to if I am lucky!
