Ohhhh, Company's Gone and I'm Back.

My card today is using the Color Throwdown Colors for Challenge #103
The Shabby Tea Room's Week #20---- 1, 2, 3, which is 1 Ribbon, 2 Buttons, 3 Punches or Dies  and the Sponser is JustRite Stampers , if the little blue frog is good to you it is an AWESOME prize.
JustRite Friday Challenge #029 Square Sketch and their little blue frog has a great giveaway also. So GOOD LUCK.

I used my Big Shot for the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis, & Square Dies, JustRite "Hope Set" for the Sentiment & Square Border colored with Atyou Spica Red, Memento Bamboo Leaves Stamping Ink, Ribbon and Buttons from my stash. Really pretty simple & I liked the color combo.

For my card I used Spellbinders Labels 8, Grand Scalloped Border, Sizzix Flower Die (green felt on back of flowers) Paper Studio 3 differnt sizes of Flowers from BaJa Colors, added a Pearl for the Centers, MS Leaf Punch, Pearls, Bling, Lace, Fibers, Flowers from my stash. Sentiment is from PSX, some Cosmo Cricket Paper.
I struggled at first with the Colors but once I got organized it was a fun card and combining all the challenges, helps make the card have interest.

Preparing for Christmas


I have used the Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Trees, EK Success Onaments (cork), Metal Snowflakes on the Tree, Martha Stewart SnowFlake Punches, I created the Little Snowman out of tea-dyed felt,  eyes are parts of snaps, a flower & sentiment from my stash.
On the top of the 2 cork ornaments are a sticker star topped with Clear Plastic Spellbinders Snowflakes. very hard to see here. Was not in a Christmas mood, but the card was fun to make and gave me some ideas for this up coming holiday.

Celebrating " My Hero"

Verve Stamps is having a July Project Parade the theme "My Hero"

My card is in the Patrotic Colors, my "Heros" are my sons..one has a busy life with a great job, 3 children. He is a great father, husband, friend to all, and a great son. Always busy, always kind, always makes time to do what is necessary for that day.  So very proud of him.

Many times mentioned (because I guess he is usually so far away) my other son is in the Military, so over the years Red, White & Blue makes me Happy & Proud to support our American System so we can maintain Our Freedom.
The Sentiment on my Card is so very true. Not just for Military People but the Firemen, Policemen, and anyone who makes the SELF-SACRIFICE, with Honor & Courage.  Thanks to all of you for what you do.
I used the Cuttlebug Stars Embossing Folder & Swiss Dots, my Big Shot with Spellbinders Scalloped Circle & Squares. Sentiment Stamp is from Paper Inspirations, some ribbon & bling from my stash.

Lots of Goodies

This was the first time I have made a Criss-Cross Card. For my card today, I used Scor Pal, Bow Easy, Big Shot with Spellbinders and 3 Different Dies,
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch,  Pearls, 3 kinds of bows, a Pearl Stick Pin, A Purple Jewel center of the Bow, Sparkles, Metal Heart,
K &Comany Flower, my stamp is Magnolia's  "Sweet Tilda" and she is precious.



This was truly a fun card to make. The Challenge? to fit all the below into 1 card!!

July Holiday Challenges

My card today was made for several Challenges with July 4th a few days away there has been so many thoughtful challenges to our holiday.

My card was simple, use of a scrap from cutting a large star, I folded over and used my Cuttlebug Star Embossing Folder, added a ribbon and inside used the Sizzix BigZ Nested Stars and my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, K&Company button of our American Flag. Love using up those scraps!!

When you lift the Blue, the inside has the White, Red & Blue.

If you go back further on my blog, you can see I have made many Patriotic Cards this last week. I am a Proud mother of a son who is in the United States Army as a career. So when our National Anthem is sung I get tears in my eyes, when our RED/WHITE/BLUE colors are the THEME I am proud to be part of it, when people do not appreciate the FREEDOM we have I can ruffle my feathers a bit, as FREEDOM is NOT Free.

Summer Fun

The Shabby Tea Room  Challenge Week 16   this week is called
 'Popsicles and Pinwheels'  Aren't the Colors Fun?


My card is simple to make, quick and easy. I used my Big Shot to cut the Spellbinders Dies, Senitment from my computer,  used Bright Colored Index Cards for the Pinwheels, Cut & Added a Skewer for the Sticks, a Stick Pin to attach them together, some Colored Raffia for the Bow &
Woo La La!!!


Guest Designer in the Tea Room this week ... DEBBIE OLSON! She is one inspired gal and designs for  Papertrey Ink, Cosmo Cricket, JustRite, Spellbinders and Zva.
