WOYWW #508

Welcome this mid day Wednesday....I totally spaced off  what day it was, until I noticed a post in my email. It's the day we share our desk and I'm later than ever to partake. Ms Julia at the Stamping Ground  gets us involved in visiting  desks of other bloggers.

My desk
I have enjoyed days of creating, can't yet show a few finished projects. We had 2 wks in which  2 days a week where no mail was delivered and yesterday our box was FULL.  A sale on some small dies.
I have been enjoying making a "Zine"  for a March swap.  Really interesting videos and process for 1 sheet of folded paper.   I'll post that after the swap in April.

Our town, the first time out in 3 days.  My hubby is doing well, but limited use of the hand so the finger can heal properly.  A removable cast when he is using it.
Piles of snow EVERYWHERE.  No one really knows how much as the wind rearranged it so many times  14" maybe.  EVERYTHING was closed.  Interstates took 2 days to free up stranded motorists and get snow moved. It remains icy and still more accidents as people just won't slow down.
I am so ready for SPRING......Have seen some of you have blooming spring flowers.  We'll have water issues when this starts to melt. May you all have a great week  Happy WOYWW

WOYWW # 507

Welcome to our Wednesday sharing of the desks.  I first want to say thank you to all who visited and left comments.  It's hard to make all the rounds and sometimes our mood, our time, and life just don't allow for some things to happen. But it's okay eventually it all works out. I had that a few months ago and things have improved a lot.

Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND, is great about her weekly post so we can all get together and share whatever it is we are doing.   Last week I posted master boards. questionable about my try at that but Shaz gave me some encouragement and she was right after I cut into 2  they will good to use for most anything. Thanks Shaz.

My desk  click to enlarge and see the mess.

Shows some ATC Coin backgrounds cut from those master boards,   some wire left from a project I can't yet disclose, some new fun stamps I hope to use soon.  I got side tracked, I was looking for some postage stamps to use in a collage and when I opened the container ....wow  I spent the day sorting 100's by cost. Good project done.

We are to receive 6 to 9 inches of snow today. But yesterday our trees were so beautiful, no wind and a  Minus 14 so don't really know where all this snow is going to go

Our barn is to the right of the 1st photo and our house is to the left of the bell.

Have a great week, and Happy WOYWW

WOYWW #506

Welcome, another Wednesday to share our workspaces.  Ms. Julia at the STAMPING GROUND started this 506 weeks ago.

My desk: making master boards.  I wanted "SPRING" colors. But cannot say I'm overly excited about any of these.  It's a 2 day snow event around here. 4 inches here 8 inches east of here. now WINDS rearranging the beauty.

While they were drying I stamped tea bags, book pages, envelopes, tea dyed paper with a cute set of little birds.

Thankful for decent driving conditions Monday, I took DH for a follow up appt following surgery on his right finger. It was an all day deal and we were exhausted when we got home. All is healing better than expected and he got the big clumsy cast off and has a removable support now. Doing exercises for the fingers and soaking 3x a day to keep away infection.  He's much better spirited.  I've been Finishing up the last of my Valentines, and working on a project for March

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Valentine's Day, if you are alone do something special for yourself.

WOYWW #505

Welcome, WOW it's WOYWW the Wednesday Word WAY of What's On Your Workdesk Wednedsay.  and a Wild Week.   Ms Julia our hostess will have some of the W info  HERE at the Stamping Ground  and I'll share my Wild Week.

Photos of my workspaces:
The table behind my desk is sporting a new Big Shot Plus, to the left  my Big Kick. Found the Plus on a great sale and wanted one for a while, to use on some BIG dies I won long ago and to be able to use bigger paper. I need to get use of it's stack, and I think my Kick is more my size !
My desk is pretty clean, I've some new items Seth Apters, stamps and a die, A set of Sizzix hearts and I love the small border die, will have a card finished using it this week. The start of another heart.
In case you haven't heard, the one I shared last week got me a Guest Designer spot from the challenge I entered.
To the left of my desk is a another area I have my paints/inks etc and I used some gesso on book pages to have available. They are drying on some wire racks.
The very odd weather has had me home since Saturday. Peace and Quiet.

A week ago Tuesday, my hubby had an accident with his right  hand, Dr. appt Wednesday to confirm by x ray his index finger was broken in 2 spots.  Thursday an appointment with surgeon in Mason City and Friday surgery on the finger. A metal plate and screws and A big cast, no driving, not to really doing ANYTHING but rest and keep it elevated until Monday the 11th.  Pain medicine made him nauseous so he went to Tylenol   He' been a good patient

So with a yard of snow drifts, cattle and barn cats to feed, ice under foot we had a mess. We went out  Thursday pm when we returned so I could  learn how to do all this !!!!!!!!!!! Cows are fussy about who's near them but I had a pail of their corn so they tolerated me. Cats loved me.  I won't tell about how the snow drifts disappeared on Friday early morning, nor who did early morning feedings. Weather warmed up to 40's and snow all melted and ice was gone. He's getting pretty good with his left hand !!  We had lots of fog Sunday and Monday so was a few days more at home. But we did manage to go to the grocery store Tuesday with me driving and who knows what's next. Monday we go back to the surgeon to check things out so hopefully a smaller cast so he can use his shirt and coat sleeve.  Isn't it funny what we take for granted. And what our partner does that we don't even think of each and every day.

Have a fun day, enjoy the things you love and Happy WOYWW
