To the left are pieces of a 2019 calendar I am thinking of making into envelopes.   To the right are napkins I plan to adhere pieces to a backing to make some faux stamps.
Below is a card I made for Hubby. It had to be quick as I didn't go anywhere or even think of gift giving.

You can connect to the fun by visiting our hostess Julia Right HERE  Have a great week and a wonderful 2020

WOYWW #550

Welcome, so happy to be able to partake once again.  Ms Julia  provides the method to share our work spaces each Wednesday  more info HERE

My 2nd day of being human again...doctor last Friday told me 1  more week and see how you feel. It's a process  severe sinus  ears, eyes, throat and coughing and I slept a LOT !  Hope it never finds its way back.

My desk

Not much changed.  Trying to make Boho beads, but I really need to prepare for Christmas, I've worked on a few cards. ordered some gifts and with nice 40 degree weather I should be able to finish presents and stock up on food supplies just in case my son and family come this direction.

Short and sweet  today is my BIRTHDAY and hubby's taking me for breakfast.  The 3 grandgirls in NJ already called before they left for school, so made my day.  Thanks for all the visits last posting. enjoyed your comments.   Enjoy this pre holiday fun !

WOYWW #548

Welcome, it's the first Wednesday in December already and time to share our workspaces ! Ms Julia is the hostess to this fun day and HERE is where it begins.

Oh my, cannot beleive I've missed posting for so many weeks again.  The previous post kind of explains my absense. I guess when I am not up to par I cannot make confortable posts (happy & joyful) hasn't come easy for awhile.
Just physically wore out, and tired of Sorting thru every room in this tiny house trying to make room and get rid of clutter with seasonal changes. Pushing myself into the Christmas season and accomplishing nothing.

But I did have about a half day of trying to start to make some Boho beads.........
got distracted by making a birthday and sympathy cards (forgot to take some photos to share) and off to lunch with 3 classmates, after tears and laughter we all seemed to come back to some reality. Life goes on and we still are truly blessed.

We had icy roads, high winds, 4 inches of snow here, over the Thanksgiving weekend.  But the sun came out and roads are good and enjoying a huge Cottontail and 3 little ones who seem to be camera evasive.

Wishing you all well with the holiday decorating and preparing for the holidays.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sometimes it's Music

Sometimes it takes music to get me back to some normalcy.  Sissel's voice speaks to me.
Happiness, Sadness, it's the world we live in,  You have to find ways to cope and go on

It's been 2 weeks of  young friends having accidents, some creating very serious injuries (2),  some death (3). and a couples dealing with 1 ALS or 1 Pancreatic cancer and   2 other Cancer.
Life, Family, Friendship, Memories all play a part in our daily lives.  And it's a lot of saddness for so many when people you love and enjoy are having a tough time. You share that sorrow.

It's hard to say goodbye, It's hard to see young people immobile and struggling. I've prayed a LOT, and I am thankful we are personally doing ok.  My husband's mouth surgeries have created discomfort for him, but he deals with it well and so far no set backs.  A few check ups and new teeth maybe in March.

I miss my sons and their family...they have so many things going on with work, kids, actiitivies and their communitiy.  Distance separates us.  I've a hard time accepting that fact. It's now,  not like when I grew up.  Granma and Grampa were always nearby to share everything.  Just isn't that way now.

So thank you Sissel...for sharing your talent, for helping me get through this thing called life.
I'll no doubt have some Maddie Poppe 's  lively song    HERE

Blessing to you and yours  this THANKSGIVING season.

WOYWW #542

Welcome, it was refreshingly fun to be back last week. Thank you for all your visits and lovely comments.  Wednesday's come so quickly, but it's fun to take time to visit Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND and visit so many fun bloggers.  Just visit  and play along.

My desk:
Cleared up and waiting for "INSPIRATION" to create a few little journals..A tea dyed envelope and a couple of paint chips left over from the collaging in a little Paint Chip Glue Book.  You can see it
HERE
Above and below is a 1920's photo album I purchased from a local business closing their doors.
The photos are really unique and I might try to find relatives, and maybe use some in some of my tags etc.  I really loved finding the old paper dolls.  Never expected them to be in this album.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful WOYWW kind of day.

Paint Chip Glue Book

Welcome, haven't posted in awhile on things I've created, as I really seem to have taken a break.
It seemed August flew by, and September arrived only to be gone as quickly.

I got involved in sorting...again.  The store room took days, I did accomplish a lot but know one but me would understand if they peeped in the door today. Yes there is still a lot and I'll work with it little by little but enough is enough.  Each month I spent a week or so doing lots of paper work for my mother's financial affairs. Hopefully that will be ended in October and other Services will handle it.

Also a messed up weather month for September and now October. I spend time taking hubby to and from fields to do the harvest of corn and soy beans.

Moving equipment after he finishes the fields up. Soy beans are done and went to market. Now it's corn and with the wind and rain we are hold once again.  In a move  he takes the combine, I bring him home for a tractor and 2 wagons, sometimes another trip of another tractor with a smaller wagon and then the last trip he takes his truck. He sometimes leaves equipment in the field overnight and the truck gets him home for break downs, and quitting time. We try to move equipment during the daytime hours.  Night moves are dangerous.  So I'm kind of on call 24/7. For moves to 5 different locations.

I just took part in making a vintage collage paint chip glue book thru a facebook group I belong to.
Here are a few photos.
We were to have 10 paint chips.    I narrowed them down to the colors below but guess what,
I changed some of them as I had more stamps/papers to go better with other colors.  Vintage Collaging is much different than the ATC's I love and making cards, tags etc.  I just think it takes up more time locating Vintage things to work with and coordinating colors etc.  Some make it look very easy when completed.  But for me it is not.

The cover and back page above.

It was put together with a ring at the top :Cardstock is  6 x 4"  and the paint chips are 5 x 2 1/2"

Thanks for stopping by,  Enjoyed my time inside today as it's rainy, windy and cold.

WOYWW #541

Welcome, it's so nice to be able to participate in another sharing of the desk day.  Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND has details on all that's fun with this Wednesday sharing.

My 2 desks this week, just reorganized the area and hoping for a few days of creative time.

A few new things I picked up while visitng the city.
For sure have to get a card made for my sisters "70th" birthday.

I've been on call for soy bean field moves for hubby and a tag a long with his dentist visits. He will have implants soon. Weather has changed from 30's to promises of 60's.  So all is good. Corn will be next in a week or so.  A huge go over in all rooms, and garage. Donations and trash were great.

During the week of damp cold this little guy did a lot of napping with some sort of warm blanket !!

Thanks for stopping by.  May your week be creative and blessed.

WOYWW # 537

I just realized it's Wednesday...in the middle of a rain storm. In fact it woke me from a deep sleep. We don't need the rain, but it's here. My Niece and Nephew have beautiful homes in Western Iowa were having evacuation 2 days ago. The Missouri river is out of control again.  I had a post on FB. The same area were in the spring farmers lost everything, even machinery floated down the river. No crops there this year. Recovery has been on going.

My desk:
I transferred my washi tape to a spool holder I was unable to sell. Added a lazy susan type tray to the bottom and Whala.. Glad I still have it, it holds 90 spools of thread.  A few stamps I am sorting thru for a paint chip challenge.

Making this short and sweet...before electric goes out.  Have a great week.

Join in our Wednesday gathering of sharing our workspaces by visiting Julia at the Stamping Ground,

WOYWW #536

Oh, I've missed you and all the WOYWW circuit, I guess I was on a blogging break. Fortunately I was not lost in the storage area, but I did spend a lot of time sorting and disposing of unused things.
In 4 weeks were not in this house 1 full day and now it is the 11th of September.  Or most prayerful 9/11  the day America was attacked at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

My grand daughter turned 8 on the 9th and I didn't even have time to make a card, but I did decorate the envelope name and address with all the colors shown on this desk. And a few of the silhouettes of children playing
This also show 3 bracelets I must take apart and re string.  Any tips on that?
The desk to the left is where I've been creating  with paint chips.  I belong to a fun group on Facebook called Vintage Glue books and Pages.  We are collaging 10 chips over a four week period.
The page propped up will be my cover or 1st page.  To me it is not as easy at making the ATC's as with them it is open reign on what supplies you use.

All the info on WOYWW  is here at the STAMPING GROUND anyone can visit or play along.

Have a wonderful week, and I'll play catch up on my visits.   Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW 529

Welcome and I'm remembering it's Wednesday, the day we share our work space.  Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND hosts our gatherings and offers anyone to play along. Just stop over and enjoy.
I truly don't know where last week went. I didn't realize I even missed posting until Friday. No doubt if you follow on Facebook, we had lots of tree damages in our area, with high winds,  but I think most now have them loaded up and hauled away. It was so hot  98/115 with humidity for several days.  Yesterday and today   perfect days  no wind, no humidity about mid 70's.

My desk today:
one area working with old book pages/and sorting out papers for a small journal
this work space has all that I own of Postal items. I had made post cards and really liked the homemade stamps I've been seeing.

Well have a wonderful week.  I'm cleaning out my storage area ! !  just in case I become missing.

WOYWW #527

Welcome to all,  It's Wednesday the day we share our work space.  Over at the STAMPING GROUND  you can partake or spend sometime visiting others.

My desk !!!!  Well it's been a crazy week since the Holiday.  Here, there and everywhere so not much really happening for creativity

In the background are some paint bottles I used to paint on some torn out book pages, hopefully I can work with them soon.  The stack of books, paper doily's,S&H stamps, and music paper were purchased for $2 at our local thrift store.  I went there for rejuvenation, after feeding Mom breakfast and spending some time showing her photos.   Hoping to work on making a few journals.

Monday  I made 4 Post Cards to attach 2 ATC's to and mail off for the exchange while in town.

Have a beautiful week, we are going in to a HOT zone. high 90's and humid. Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #526

Welcome, it's another Wednesday to share our workspaces.  Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND
has the link to play along, just click a name and you'll be taken any where in the world to visit someone's workspace.  Maybe some inspiration, ideas, a truly fun group with a variety of  desks.

My Desk today: A few Vintage flowers sorted by color, a few old cancelled stamps, finishing the process of the week. ATC's for an exchange later July.

We are creating "2 ATC's"  to put on a Postcard.  so I will send four cards and receive 4 back. We could chose our theme as long as it was Vintage.  I have my Postcard backing figured out just have to cut to size and design something fun on the back.

                                                                 They are paired up
Was a great week to work on these, we had HIGH temps with humidity of 106, enjoyed a few showers to help out the crops and garden.

Thursday here in the states is a holiday..."the 4th of July"  Celebration of our Independence
DateThursday, July 4, 2019 Trending
CelebrationsFireworks, family reunions, concerts, barbecues, picnics, parades, baseball games
SignificanceThe day in 1776 that the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress

So we will be at the  City Park celebrating, with friends and family. Have a great week.  Thanks for stopping by.
