WOYWW #455

Welcome, it's an icy, snowy, cold day here, but it makes for enjoying our What's On You Workdesk Wednesday, hosted by Julia at her blog the  STAMPING GROUND, And you can click on her blog and visit those linked up, make friends, get ideas, and enjoy

Wasn't able to play along last week, my mother was entered into ER on Sunday and sent on Thurs to the nursing home, for speech therapy and physical therapy.  She either had a mild stroke or is in the another stage of her dementia. Had numerous tests done and they found nothing. So will finish packing up her Assisted Living items this week and settle her into the nursing home. It's hard to see her so confused and unable to do things. But she is in good hands, and has had a good life. Hopefully she can get out of that wheel chair, and talk clearly again.

My desk:   cleared of Valentines and trying out some new stamps and the TH stamp platform. My one goal this year is to use my supplies. I've so many embossing folders, stamps, dies, inks, papers, and embellishments I've never used. It's like I have a shop right here in front of me.

My other project will be sorting and labeling photos by family. And I'm talking 3-5 big rubber maids so it may take awhile.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week and enjoy WOYWW.

WOYWW #453

Welcome to our first post for February's Workspace Wednesday post.  Over at our lovely hostess Julia's blog has all the ways to enjoy others designs, or join up and post your creative spaces. click the  STAMPING GROUND and enjoy !

My desk just has more Valentine stash, and I'm running behind on being creative. The tin to the right has little crocheted hearts, I made a few years back. The bottome left is cut felted wool red hearts from an old blazer, the top holds bits and pieces of various types and colors of hearts and the bottom one has a variety of buttons, pins, metal themed bits and bobs. A few cut out  hearts scattered about.

Glad to have had a few good travel days away last week to watch my grandson swim in the schools district meet. The weather took a turn and we now have snow,  2/3 inches here but most got between 6/12 inches and a real hi-way mess just south of here,  -24 wind chill.  And I am content to stay at home.

Here is a link to this snow/ice  traffic mess on I-35 Monday  The worst Iowa has ever had. Most were driving too fast for the weather conditions.  Over 70 vehicles involved.

Wishing you a Happy WOYWW kind of day and I will be around to visit this week. With 2 funerals and traveling I didn't have much time last week.  But thanks so much for all your kind comments and taking time to stop by.
