Another WOYWW #121

Much more excitement today.  The ole' back is much better and much has been accomplished.
Today is Julia's on going What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday...hop on over to the Stamping Ground and see what it's all about.

My desk is pretty good today.  I spent lots of time rearranging, needed to clear out clutter and make space for a new item.  It will be here Thursday so next week stop by. I'm so excited..

This is going to be so much handier and looks so much better. Maybe it will help my creative spirit to have changed it about. Like Fall Cleaning!!!!

My special sister and I went to a "Antique and Old Stuff" sale Saturday in a near by town. 3 sisters do this each spring and fall..and oh the goodies you can find cheap!!!  Just makes one excited.

The little Halloween items were so cute and only 25 cents.

And guess what I am using this little divided rack for...folders filled with scraps of paper sorted by colors.    Now how organized is that?!!!
I hope you are having a wonderful "Fall" day. A little dark and gloomy here, but kinda needed some rain. It is the only way my DH takes a break during all the busy ness of Fall Harvest. He most generally doesn't even take time for a sit down meal until after 9PM. BY then I'm tired and called it a day a few hours ago. So I do a lot of crockpot meals.

Thanks so much for stopping by, always nice to hear your comments and see what you've been up too.  Enjoy your WOYWW visits.

A Little ATC and a Lot of TLC

I love ATC's...I've always enjoyed working with little pieces..whether it be wood, fabric or paper.
Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge is to create an Artist Trading Card.

I tattered a piece of cardboard and cut to size.  The pieces of metal are Tim  Holtz, as well as the    Flourish die and some distress ink. The images are Graphic 45's. The flower and crochet piece are from my Little Treasures stash.

Now if you want to see some really special ATC'S  hop on over to Simon Says Stamp and Show and have fun seeing the very original designs the design team has created.  Love the unique things these gals do. I need to go to my little stash of wood and see if I have some little blocks this size to               decorate, especially with Halloween and Christmas just around the corner.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is wonderful and you have time to enjoy the things you love to do.

WOYWW #120

A little late, but Julia at the Stamping Ground admits late ones..as another peep is always good.
Woyww...is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday ?  I really didn't know..have had my back go out and unable to get down to my creative area but it's about the same as always.

Guess I was working on some fall ideas. Hope to finish up the little one in the corner
after I get an appt. with my chiro as soon as finish this posting.  It's been Hot/Cold packs, some floor exercise, and hopes that it just goes away, but I truthfully know it's worse than that.
My DH brought me in some fresh homegrown potatoes, said there were 39 in one hill!!! and he has 7 hills.

and he also brought me an assortment of gourds. So I got those cleaned and made a center piece.

Stop over to Julia's and and see what she's got going today.  It's great fun and great people.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy WOYWW and enjoy the week

Happy WOYWW #119 and a NEW BABY

Just realized it was WOYWW morning...you wanted to see...and it is a HUGE BIG MESS.

Julia at the Stamping Ground has this little "PEEP SHOW" each Wednesday. People from all over the world post there workspace to let others view it.   Thats right, we are all about peeping in.!!

I had to make a quick birthday card for my dad's 89th birthday on Tuesday and just flew thru the room trying to finish that and be on our way to enjoy some homemade Hor'dourves and Birthday Cake. It's how he wanted to Celebrate. And his 3 girls delivered.  It was a fun gathering and I slept ALL NIGHT as there realy wasn't any stress!!!!
You'd think I could have done the card a lot earlier and had it ready, but just didn't do it. Too much Celebrating our NEW BABY GIRL.  YES. son J and wife Helen had their little girl come along early. She was born Friday 9/9/11, 9 PM in Kansas.  She was 8 lbs 12 oz and her name is "SUMMER ROSE". All are well, and pictures will no doubt be sent via new technology later today.!!!!
Sunday was our church "Fall Festival" and Turkey Supper so that day was really busy. With Excellent food.
I spent Monday morning at the doctors office with Mother and then my DH took me to  the Clay County Fair,  the biggest Farm and Agriculture Fair around.  We enjoyed a beautiful Fall Day looking, looking and looking...oh..well a little Fair Food TOO!!!!
A previous post shows all his farm equipment being cleaned and getting ready for field work. These look like toys to the NEWEST farm machinery we saw. It is all HUGE.  Will try to do a post on that later this week.
Enjoy your WOYWW visits, Thanks for stopping by and I hope to take a break, with a big cup of Java and enjoy all that you have posted.  I need to "Sit" !!!..

Baby's Arrived and A Winning Day

Lots of excitement here!!!     Yesterday  (Friday) son Jeremy called at 7 AM they were at the Overland Park Hospital, waiting for the new baby....well by 6 PM I was a little concerned, so made the call to him.

They were on their way for a C-Section and would call me in about 3 hrs.  9:30 PM  All is well.
A new little granddaughter...named  "SUMMER ROSE"    8 lbs. 12 oz.     18inches long  and all were doing great.    Pretty tired and Pretty Hungary.
TODAY A big state rival football game at 11AM  took my attention  Iowa Hawkeyes VS Iows State Cyclones.

I lived 30 yrs close to Iowa City  so was a BIG TIME FAN,  had season football tickets after the boys got older and never missed any Hawkeye action.  Then Jeremy decided to attend college at Iowa State, gradutated from there so my heart was there too.  I love competition and these 2 schools can provided it when they play each other.   SO today  IOWA STATE won in 3 Overtimes...after the second overtime my phone rang....it was Jeremy...so excited he could get it on TV in Kansas and Iowa State was playing so well, "I knew you'd be watching."..so play by play we hollered and enjoyed the win together!!!

Little SKY was able to join them at the hospital  and can share the hospital suite...dismissal will be Monday PM and I know there will be some fun to be had with the Celebration of another little girl.
I am so Thankful, everyone is ok and the Lord has blessed us all with great family love.
I am awaiting pictures!!!!!

FarmLand and "HIS" Stash

Busy, Busy...My DH is preparing for Fall Harvest.  It has been some beautiful weather here and I guess just as we do "Fall Cleaning" the farmers do their thing to be ready for "Fall Field Work". I kept hearing lots of noise, running of tractors, when I looked out, he has moved most all of his big GREEN machines out of the buildings and lined them up in our front yard.

A few left inside, as I made my way out when he left for town.
He checks the batteries, tires, oil,  washes, and polishes, makes sure the radio, the yield monitor, and air conditioning are all in working order.  And I am most certain LOTS of other things I don't even have a clue about.

It was so interesting to find that not only I collect many questionable things, but for my own defense I find by snooping around my husband has just as much junk as I do.

Here between the machine sheds sits a huge trailer I didn't know we had,   full of items never to be used by this man!!!....all I can say is  "Ok, don't comment on my overflow!!"  He may take it to the salvage yard and get paid cash for it someday!!!  but for now I can use this as a weapon...
I knew he had things stored in a little white shed out there that were of absolute no use, but I am afraid to open the door and peep in...could be racoons, skunks, mice hiding out and waiting for night fall.  I hate wild little critters to surprise me. He can hoard all the junk he wants in there.!!!

BUT  "FALL IS IN THE AIR" and it was a lovely day to scout around.
If anyone knows how to put 2 pictures side by side on a blogspot, please let me know.

WOYWW #118

Up all hours, so in the wee of the morning here, I am excited to be checking in with Julia at the
Stamping Ground to see what all the other little peepers are doing.  It's a day to in joy a cup of java, post your spot and hop around and snoop at what is on the workspaces...love it.

I actually started some crafting projects today after a long break. We had a holiday weekend, that was so very busy had to deep clean, the garage, and all the nook and crannies as we had company from another state visiting,  an aunts 95th birthday brought her 9 kids and their families home from all over the USA and a fun get together with all of them. A town bar-beque, a few visits to the hospital again, and most of all some very beautiful cool weather.

Not too exciting, working on ideas for a fall project...

I put out all my Fall Decor here and there, so took time to find my fall stamping items also.  Hope I can get the MoJo going and come up with some good projects. Have a couple of birthdays and in the next few weeks a new grandbaby is to be born.  My son called last night and is so excited.

Happy WOYWW to all of you and thanks for stopping by.
