Farm Mishap

Thanks to everyone for your concern and kind wishes.  In case you missed my Facebook post, my husband had a bad morning Thursday.  Anxious to do his spraying of weeds, he turned short on a seldom used enterance to his bean field and the sprayer tipped over.  The hitch broke and his tractor and he are ok.

By law you have to call within a certain time and report this chemical spill.  The Sherif's office, the Emergency Management Dept, and Dept of Natural Resources,.sent out personel to make reports and oversee the accident followed by Whitemore Truck and Trailer  who came  to help with hoisting up the sprayer to it's upright postion.   Friday Earles Excavating came to dig up the dirt that had to be hauled away and disposed of according to the laws of our land.

Assessing the damages. The yellow container has a hole in it, the big arms are broken. It's no doubt a total loss. It is a fragile piece of equipment. Hoping insurance will cover a replacement. And I'm sure there's more to come with paper work.

The best part of this is my husband is ok and had no injuries, and I am very thankful for that.

WOYWW #264

So glad it's Wednesday, mid week break time and glad you stopped by.  Julia has a meeting of the desk sharing over on her blog:    STAMPING GROUND.  If new to this hop on over and she has all the info on her header.

I've been totally busy again in the storage room and garage. I've a gentleman coming over to buy treasures.
Hope he takes it all !
My desk has a few purchases from a friends estate sale,
The little peat pots are the two new colors I've been painting with
And I got the little chest done..Just love it, now to find a space for it.  I might use this color in my kitchen when my cabinets are finally painted a gray.  I thought it would be good to hold spices.  And my hub told me he thinks we should hire his cousin to do the cabinets..He thinks I'll be insane by the time I'm finished.
I'm not going to disagree.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week.

Michele from Nook and Cranny had a lovely gift of extra's included
And many layers of lace adorn this lovely lady
And this majectic looking beauty surrounded  with lovelies from Donna at A little Bit of Jumble
And the lovely layers of this sweet little girl and her dog from Jane at Aralia Jane

I loved Jane's True Blue Heart too..
Thanks to all of you...I do treasure the ATC's. and I shared them with a group of classmates at our luncheon and they were amazed at the detail and fun layers.

The ATC's I created and sent on  are here Little Treasures   Thanks for stopping by.

Friday's Smiles

Over at Annie's she offers Friday up as a day to submit smiles to her blog A STITCH in TIME

Today mine are some creations my hubby made for our yard art. We've been having storms since Sunday and so much wind, rain and some areas had hail and tornado's.  So many places have deep water the roads are impassable.   So to keep busy, he creates too

Steel rods, farm equipment parts, rusty finds.....he paints, welds and creates "Yard Art"

Have a lovely weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #263

It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at STAMPING GROUND  and haven't been at my regulard workspace...in the garage painting.

A little kids cabinet in a very ugly color
A spice rack that needs a second coat of paint

The new color for the cabinet will be the aqua....the bright pink I am using on some other items.

We were very lucky...our weather turned nasty Monday, no electricity until 1 AM, heavy rain 6 inches in neighboring towns. We had 3 inches, and very high winds.  missed the hail and tornadoes, many downed trees around the area.  Mother Nature can be wicked. Prayers go out to the town in Nebraska that was destroyed.

Short and sweet. I'm off to meet some classmates I haven't seen in 50 years for lunch. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your week.

Friday Smiles

Oh the fun of Annie's Friday Smiles.....you can join in by visiting her blog A STITCH in TIME  and of course this week I am featuring my 9 year old granddaughter CAMRYN..

She is an athlete in all things playable !   And GOOD. This time of year here she is playing softball.
She got her 1st homerun  and did I smile. (just because deep in my heart I always knew she was just like her grandma !)
I think her mother's phone went into overtime with all the CONGRATULATION comments.

I don't get togo to many of her games as it is a 3 hour drive and on away games it could be 5, but this weekend they will be 2 hrs away and I plan to go for sure. So proud of her. She works so hard at improving and her dad is a good catcher, while she practices pitching.  She normally plays 2nd base.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy a SMILE  and more by stopping over at Annie's blog.
Just wish I could give her a great big hug right now.   Have a fun weekend...I know I will as I am off to her game.

It's #262 at WOYWW

Good Morning

It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Julia's STAMPING GROUND  and this week I have a desk to share.  If you are new to this just pop over to her blog and she has all the info to get you started.

I had a 'little' time to clean off the area and unpack a little sack of purchases. I collect frogs and this little orange one is a book mark. Seemed the short time I was at my desk the phone kept ringing, and the week has been busy.

Below is a FINISHED white window.  The finish carpenters got here Monday at 7AM finished all 7 windows and put in our new door.  Sure is a good improvement.  Hubby put up the blinds this AM and I have the curtain toppers all ready to hang.

The flowers were fresh from my dad's Peony patch. Wish I would have had my camera with me.
I keep my bike in that garage as it is in town and so much easier to ride than here on the gravel road.
Our weather has been perfect. No wind, mid 70's and no humdity. So taking full advantage of being outdoors.

I just received 2 more ATC's with our exchange. These came from Chris @teddywares and flutterbies blog
She has very detailed pen sparkle outlining her objects and the little girl is popped up. So very precious.
The blue butterfly and flowers is a dimentional silk and quite sparkly. The ATC exchange was so fun.
This was the little protective envelope, she made and enclosed the ATC's within. The tag is just adorable too.  Thank you so much Chris.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy WOYWW.

WOYWW #261

No desk time yet....weather was so lovely it called for a walk in town and a bike ride.  The energy gave me insentive to cut my rhubarb and to clean the garage.  No wind, no humitiy....lovely 76 degrees.  Hubby helped when he got home at noon to sweep the terrible floors..Winters sand/rock/dust build up  is about more than I can handle in this BIG garage.  I sorted, threw, wiped things down and will take things to the recycle shop, and to the donation place this week. WHEW~~~~ nice job DONE.  Now I can do some summer entertaining out there.

Stop over to Julia's STAMPING GROUND  to see why we do this WOYWW each Wednesday
I apologize on last weeks #260  I somehow had the wrong web address and couldn't find out how to correct it.
These are the ATC's  I have received to date:

I am so amazed at those International Girls !!!  WOYWW CROP !  What fun I had receiving all of the ATC's from this group.   WELL DONE LADIES !

Julia Dunnit and Lunch Lady Jan
                                Lynda and Alison
                              Shaz  and  Helen
                             Maggie and Cardarian
                             Tatteredrocks

Then the sisters send these      Jo (Twiglet) and (Wipso) Annie  both of fabric and their precious stitching

I love how all of  the ATC's are so unique. And I will take a lesson from each of you.  You made them flat....easy to mail.  I have to learn that technique.   Thanks to all of you for your precious designs. It has been such fun all these years.   A special THANKS to Julia for hosting and making it so enjoyable.

Enjoy another WOYWW

and a POST SCRIPT   with Annie's right side up !
