WOYWW #316

It's Wednesday, the day we share our desks.. Julia of the STAMPING GROUND has been our host for this fun sharing group. Her blog has all the info you need to partake if you are interested.

So happy you stopped by. The week just flew by and I didn't even have a chance to do a post in between. I did have a little time trying out various textures with my flower dies. Some burlap, the crinoline, vellum and black tulle.  I wanted to experiment with a little color on the crinoline but really was cut short on time.  This desk is to the right of my normal photos.  My usual space is home to some work in process on  ATC's  for a swap and I didn't want to disrupt the layouts.  It seems to be a hard challenge for me this time.

We had a beautiful outdoor wedding on Saturday. It was held outdoors and a beautiful job of outdoor decorating.   My husband farms this acreage on the edge of town, where they will live.

Sunday we went to see my grandson play baseball about 2 hrs away and spent the night.  Our state had severe storms during the night and  Monday early, with winds, tree damages,  tornado's,  and very heavy rain.  We were in a hotel and waited for it to clear up in order to head home. My brother's town was hit with destruction but his acreage was ok. Semi's turned over, grain bins uplifted and knocked down power lines. Of course my husband was worried about our crops but we had very little damage, just a few branches.  We were very thankful no one was injured. Now we are dealing with the dreadful mosquitoes.

Thanks for stopping by and the visits last week. Have a wonderful week ahead.

WOYWW #315

So glad you stopped by. It's Wonderful Wednesday, the day we share or desks. Julia our hostess at
STAMPING GROUND has all the info on her blog.  Short and Sweet. 6 years into this fun event.

Pretty cleaned off, trying to learn how to use the eyelet punch and the white fabric like parcel is for making some flowers.  Distress ink will color them, will share when I 've a few finished.

Some wonderful weather stowed upon us.  And I have taken full advantage of it.  Had a wonderful weekend in our Capital City watching my granddaughter and the team win State Championship in her summer softball league.  So happy we could be there to watch.  Will post photos  in a day or so.

Have a wonderful WOYWW and thanks to everyone who visited last week and left such nice comments.

JUNE'S ATC SWAP

It is  a"My Own Style" theme by our hostess Kimberly for the  ATC June swap at ArtJoyStuff.  She has all the details if you want to join in future swaps.  She hosts a new theme each month.

                                                     The back side

Kim wanted us to include a little about "MY OWN STYLE"

I smiled at “My Own Style”…it changes daily. I love lace, layers, sweet images & embellishing. I love a challenge and researching the theme. I have fun with seasonal changes and colors.  Not found of coloring a stamped image.

WOYWW #314

Welcome!
We have had some awesome weather here. Just puts me in a great mood, to be outside and enjoy.

It's Wednesday, the day we share our workspaces...Julia at the STAMPING GROUND has been our host going on 6 years. Yesterday I received my ATC from Canada in our Anniversary exchange

Annie from ArtyFartyAnnie  had the cutest packaging to protect this cute little ATC
She has a post on her blog on how she did it. And her photos are better than mine. Thanks Annie, it is just fun to receive these "LittleTreasures". They are all so unique.

I also did a post on the one's I made and sent out in the previous post.

And my workspace....haven't really been creating. Last rainy day my hubby and I went to the city and I found treasures~~  Tim Holtz was on sale, as was the paint.  Not pictured, I also got some grey and white chalk paint to try on a few wooden things I want to refurbish..Will keep you posted.

During the weekend I went to an estate sale and a Quilt Shop closing sale. Will do a post on the fun items I purchased there in a day or so.

Spent most of yesterday, trimming the yard, so hubby could mow, weeding the flower garden and picking rhubarb, Chinese cabbage and Kale.  I made kale chips and later will do a rhubarb crisp. The Chinese cabbage I used for tuna salad wraps for lunch.

Thanks for stopping by. and for all the fun visits and comments I had last week. Hope you all have a wonderful week.

ESTATE & QUILT SHOP CLOSING PURCHASES

Welcome.....Nothing I like better than a warm weather day to attend some garage sales, an estate sale or a store going out of business.  It is one of my favorite things to do.

The estate sale was a whole house of a fine lady in a near by town.  Someday I think it could be mine.
Everything in the home was put up for sale and ready for buyers.  I thought it a little pricey but the first day was the only day I could attend.  50% off the 3rd day but would you get that one thing you really wanted?

Just love the pretty lacy scarf and the fun colors of the other one.  I kinda of started collecting decks of cards and this set caught my eye. Never used and cute little images. All pieces I'm sure I can use in some of my mixed media projects.

Now the QUILT SHOP closing was another story. COUNTRY THREADS QUILT SHOP   has been known all around the US, especially the midwestern states. Patterns, Fabric, Quilting Classes, retreats, just a wonderful asset to our area.   a WONDERFUL country setting, friendly people working there, and a huge variety of fun things for crafty people to enjoy.  Please visit the blog to see the unique place that it was   WE WILL ALL MISS IT.

and a few of my purchases,  all so reasonably priced  wish I could have carried more ~~~ !~~ you can click on the photos to make them larger.

Now to find some space for these special "LittleTreasures"     Thanks for stopping by, enjoy a lovely day.

OUTSIDE TIME

Welcome,

Some beautiful Sunshine and a no Wind day here today. So it's outside time at it's best.
The little flower garden needs some water and weeding. I was startled by this friendly little toad.
He's been out there since early April and I enjoy him watching me !....And I kinda like him.

Mr. Toad
Hosta

Hen & Chics
Mr. Toad...moved to the fountain....There is water in it but I don't have it connected yet.
This tag is gone and his close by White friend is drooping.
I just finished planting these outside. 3 Hens & Chicks in a  long rusted out chicken feeder

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful fun filled day.

WOYWW #313

Good Morning fellow bloggers.
It's Wednesday the day we share our work spaces.  STAMPING GROUND 'S  Julia is our hostess and she has all the info on her space.

My desk is preparing for a few birthday cards and another ATC swap. But our weather has had Sunshine and less Wind so may have to enjoy the great outdoors. Enlarge the photos if you like.

In our ATC 6th WOYWW Exchange I have received 2 from sisters
Jo with her awesome dumfling.....I truly love this, cause it's something I cannot do. The colors are beautiful.  Thanks SO much Jo.

Annie's ATC is so very special cause again I don't have an embroidery machine nor the time to do hand embroidery. It fascinates me....so many wonderful stitches. Again I love these pretty colors too. Thanks SO much Annie.

I will post others when they arrive. Hopefully next week.  Enjoy a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.

ATC'S Join the Circus

I love the ATC swaps.  I partake in  ArtJoyStuff's  monthly challenges ,  Our hostess Kimberly does such a great job with the themes and organizing.  The month of May was "Join the Circus" and I just received my trades. It's always a thrill to get the mail that day.

You can click on the image to make it larger.  My camera does not do justice to the fine beautiful details.

I just love the variety this group creates. Lots of fussy cutting and detail to these small treasures.
Artist Trading Cards are only 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in size. So there is a challenge in creating them.
 from Kelly
 From Maggie
 From Liz

Packaging and Cute little pipecleaner Clown from our Hostess.

The ones I made were in a previous post  on my blog:

Thanks to Kimberly for hosting and to Kelly, Liz  and Maggie, I love each of  these "Little Treasures". They bring a smile to my heart.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments.
