Catch UP

It's been a while since I was on a Card Making Mission, one week was taking parents to medical appointments, in the rain and damp cold. So I ended up with a sinus infection and just tried to get thru a couple of  days staying warm and taking meds.
Then I decided to clean the storage room and get it organized and started to toss STUFF.
Did good, but still have lots to do. So then I had to nurse a sore shoulder and muscles I haven't used for a while.  All those rubbermaids were heavy.
Found out my grandchildren were on spring break....so Tuesday we went 200 miles to pick them up to spend a few days with Grandma & Grandpa...what fun. But the other 200 home really got me tired a long time in the car for one day.
Cael seems to hang together with me,  while Cami is with Grandpa outside farming!!!!   We made Easter Cards for Brother Cash (2yrs), Mom & Dad.  Got new DVD's to watch, had pizza one night , mini corn dogs, and fries. Got homework caught up.  WHAT teacher gives homework on Spring Break?  Learned some new games on the computer.   Friday we met 1/2 way, had Fish at Micky D's and let a lonesome Mom & Dad, and little brother take them home.
The kittens are now caught up on their sleep and we notice it sure is quiet here. But fun was had by all.  Now we are back to the real world.

Just For Fun Color Challenge #1

I love color challenges..and the very first one for Just For Fun, you can see all the info at
http://jffstamps.typepad.com/jffstamps/2010/03/just-for-fun-friday-color-challenge-1.html
The colors to use are Green, Pink, & Brown. My card is kinda Shabby Chic, for a friend who has these colors everywhere and is Shabby Chic!!!!
I used my new Tim Holtz Paper Distresser to get the tattered look on edges, Ranger distressed ink, Cuttlebug Butterflies, and Embossing folder. The green wool thread, buttons, & sparkle are from my stash.  This was different for me and with a little more practice, I think I can do better.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the new week.  Even with the Rain perdicted, I'll enjoy being home. Have made a lot of trips out of town this week with a grandson's birthday, girls basketball in State playoffs for 2 games and other shopping adventures.  Always good to go, but so nice to come home. Thanks for stopping by.

Moxie Fab World & Tuesday Triggers/ Kim Wilson Challenge

Had so much fun with this Card Challenge, again I think it is the SPRING colors. Tuesday Triggers with Kim Wilson at webspot:               http://www.moxiefabworld.com/  has some really great inspirations.  On my card I used Cuttlebug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder, sanded a little, & the Swiss Dots, Papertrey Stamps and buttons, Spellbinders Labels 9, and a ribbon from my stash.
Snow is melting, and Sun is out, hope to soon see some robins... Enjoy the Ride and Thanks for stopping by.

Spring Schemes

Oh the color, some awesome samples of Spring Schemes at  http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/ which is a good link to shop at Papertrey Ink . The Desgin Team here does an EXCELLENT job of creating beautiful items and offer great "INSPIRATION". Today you can participate in a great variety of color for their Card Challenge. I used Dawn Mcvey's Color Scheme of Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Fresh Snow to create my card today. Also the Papertrey Stamps, Sentiments, & Buttons, a Martha Stewart Eylet Lace Punch and Spellbinders Labels 4, Cuttlebug Embossing folder Swiss Dots

So fun working with Spring colors, gives me motivation and energy. So hope you hop over to Nichole's site and have fun with it.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the ride.
