WOYWW #655

Welcome,  count down is on and I am way behind.  Linking up with our special hostess Julia HERE CHRISTMAS NEARING to partake with our weekly sharing of the desks, or whatever we are doing !

I haven't been at any of my crafty space, it was a week of being here/there/and everywhere.  Sleeping in my chair, trying to find things I put in safety when the storm hit.  We were blessed, only lost some facia on the house, fences messed up in cattle area, branches, but south many farms were totally destroyed except their houses.

From our house to yours, we wish you and yours the Blessings of Good Health,  Joy, Love and Peace  Thank You for your gift of Friendship.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy all that comes your way.

WOYWW #654

Welcome, I am back and a little nervous.  Weather report is Not good for IOWA  BIG storms forecast  High's 70 degrees,  completely never happened in December here,  with wind gusts to 60 to 70 MPH  4pm thru Thursday with tornado warnings/thunderstorms.  So we wait.

Showing My desk, as to day is the day we share our workspaces.  You can partake by visiting HERE and linking up to Mr. Linky or just visit those who have.
I used a triangle set of dies to make the Christmas trees, have to glue and decorate yet

I was able to have Tuesday to sit and relax using a few new items.  Had some Cherry Pie !
BUT  I have this area to put away and refresh!!  Only you know what real messes are sometimes.

I've very little shopping done, or no cards ready to mail out.  It's the 1st time in years  I've been so far behind with  Christmas preps.  While putting away fall and bring in totes for Christmas 2 weeks ago I injured my left shoulder and was unable to use my arm. I was worried it was Roto cuff, but for a week I used hot and cold packs, took advil and did a few slow exercises.  It improved a lot.  I still can't put my hand in back to put on a coat,  but  Spent 3 days putting up Christmas decor and putting away totes with  mostly with one hand.

Wishing you all a great week, Ours will be busy we have 2 funerals and a birthday to celebrate.

WOYWW #651

Welcome, it's the day to share our workspaces.  Ms Julia is welcoming anyone to join in the fun
HERE  just visit those listed on Mr. Linky or post and play along. Many great friendships made over the years of doing this.

My desk:
I wanted to get time to play with the new flower stamp, but we've been in and out with this nice weather. If only Mr. WIND would leave, it would be perfect for ending of November.

On both desks I have some coloring to do to finish the little tags. I was also going thru my drawers of Christmas papers, dies, ephemera, stamps and I am amazed. WOW I'll need a few Elves to come by and help me create.
I am hoping to have another post on a few ideas I had with my triangle dies  just depends here in the USA   Thursday is "Thanksgiving Day"  a 4 day holiday weekend with Black Friday shopping, clear thru Monday's events.  Not sure of our plans as yet.

Thanks for all the comments from last week and Have a very Happy WOYWW kind of day.

WOYWW #650

Welcome, 650 ~!~ Our Ms Julia has made it a great way to enjoy, be inspired and appreciate many things over all this time.  I can't thank you all enough for all your support this past week and so many times during all these years.    Link up HERE
I only have a  neighbors photo to show you on the BIG bales of stalks, processed from the corn fields that were just picked here.  The winds were so strong I never ventured out to take a photo of ours, very similar, but only 1/3 of this. He uses them to feed the cattle over winter.

Not spent much time at crafting, cleaning out storage/craft area once again, moved summer clothes to storage and brought up winter items, so that meant rearranging closets, Glad that things still fit, but all the lifting and extra laundry is getting to be a bit too much. Need to sort out and donate clothes also. Winter coats will be necessary soon.  60's here this week until tomorrow we go to 40's

I am in the process of coffee dying an old linen table cloth, to be used in a few journals.
Some pieces are wrapped with rusty elements and drying, Below some turned darker and the strips not much change.
I ordered a few new colors of blendable inkpads and some blending tools both by Wendy Vecchi I am so much enjoying her Facebook group  (Ink Stamp and Make Art )   and all the new doodling posts.  A new look on stamping.  The BIG Buttons, are for another Idea I have for 2 Christmas gifts, updates later

I've no updates on my grandson, they are meeting with some Specialists this week. Thank You so very much for all your comments and support.  It's tough, wishing it were me instead of he.
May you all enjoy this week, as we prepare here in the states for our up coming holiday Thursday next week THANKSGIVING DAY.

WOWW #649

Welcome, hope your are having a bright and sunny day.  Yesterday was awesome here, high 50's, no wind.
I took off, it was necessary for my sanity. My better half, helps with the garbage route in our little town on Tuesdays and packed a lunch to go direct to the field to finish up tillage. (chopping the corn stalks, to have someone come to make bales for the cattle)  I'll take a photo for next week, as it is 4 a m  here and I did not make a scheduled post.

It's share our desk day so I am linking up HERE  and you can too, it's my communications with the world beyond our borders, mostly, but there are a few USA gals partaking.

My desk :

I cleared away the stacks, made a small collage, and was going to doodle on the flowers. I've been following Wendy Vecchi's  FB video's and have become obsessed with what she's creating. The fall posts were just lovely.

Above I started filling my last weeks display case, I've yet to do the back side and I know it will never have room for 75%  !!!!  I still have to add to it. Most people will never understand.

My day adventure led me to our near by city 50 miles away, Thrift shop, was totally revamped for Christmas, so wasn't the array of fun buys the items above,  all fabric pieces were EACH 25 cents. They were even playing Christmas music.  Just NOT what I was in the mood for. I ended up at Hobby Lobby, of course it was the same process there, but they have the space, fall was all almost gone and replaced, but my buys were in the paint, sewing notions, and a mish mash of other crafting items.  On to Taco Johns for Taco Tuesday.  A great day to be out and about.  Gas took a 20 cent jump in price on my return trip home. Skipped the grocery list as those prices are way up also.  Another day !!!

My request for prayers, as my 13 yr old grandson was taken to ER Sunday night, had an emergency appendectomy.  But that wasn't the total problem, he has an infection of unknown sorts and being treated with antibiotics.  I have talked with both my son and DIL, negative for COVID, (which who knows some have it testing negative, some positive don't have it ???) so it's a touch and go waiting game.  It's a 3 hr drive, I can't go to see him, so I cry, I wait, I pray and try to be somewhat normal.  I could tell by a couple recent photos I thought he'd lost weight, now I am wondering if part of this is de hydration.  And that can be a long recovery.

THANK YOU ALL for your visits last week. Our weatherman is calling for us to stay in Friday as it could be our first snowfall.  Hey guy we've been staying in.  But truly I don't think it will last long. It may be coming but deep winter should be a few weeks away.  ENJOY

WOYWW #648

It's happy WOYWW  kind of day to all of you !   BBBBrrrrrrrr it's cold outside 24
chances of warm up for the next week or so.   I'd hope so,  it's only November.

Today we link up with Ms Julia HERE and share our workspaces.

Mine space for the past few days.  Usually my fabric cutting space,
made this little scrap journal,  3x3 from fabric/paper.  need ideas for the inside !

I made this awhile back but never finished the inside, so will do both one of these days

This will be put to use when I find a place to hang it.  It was at a thrift store for $1.  It has 40 spaces on each side.  Good for ephemera?    I have no doors or closets in my crafty space. That's why it looks so messy, no place to hide stuff.   But I need it to be visual or I spend too much time searching.

Hoping you are all well and enjoying some time outdoors, with the seasons turning colder, I hate to give that up. Our flowers are still beautiful as hard frost will first hit in a day or so.   Time seems to go so fast, I should be making plans for the upcoming holidays.  Thanks for all the comments/visits last week. Some weeks your the only outside communications I have.

#647 WOYWW

Happy Day to You,   thanks for stopping by.  I missed last week, I was busy Tuesday, baking Pumpkin desert, cooking a spiral ham, then making 3 kinds of soup   Potato, Bean, Split Pea.  Haven't entertained for a Long time but Wednesday was my sister's birthday. So my 2 sisters and hubbies, came by for a good night visit and supper.  She will leave for Arizona Friday as they spend winter there and come back end of May.

I have spent time in my crafty space !!! Wishing I could just go down there and create, but I always have to rearrange, make room for seasonal supplies and  put away Halloween.

On Sunday We stopped at a pumpkin farm and purchased 2   She has really odd species. Then we continued on to a Church for their yearly Turkey Supper.  I can actually say there is none better in our area. My favorite meal.
A card I made for a former neighbor lady 's  100th birthday.

This is the left end of the main 10 ft table I use for dies/stamping/ coloring.  You'll have to enlarge I couldn't make them bigger.  And it's poor lighting, We are having doom/gloom, high winds and 2 days of rain for today and Thursday.

And this is the right side,  the 2 little shelf units hold all the new stamps I've purchased online since August.  I got this thing for Leaves/Floral so hope to get started on a few small journals.

May you all enjoy a great week, I am linking up with Ms. Julia for our weekly visits of What's On Your Workspace  Wednesday   HERE

WOYWW # 645

Surprise ! Another week of posting, but this is a scheduled one. I will be one my way early Wed. to enjoy a school reunion of girl friends since grade school. We missed last year, but have kept you on a yearly basis for a long time. Meeting at 1/2 way point 2hrs away for lunch and sharing our life updates.  Hopefully 8 of us.  4 unable to come.

My desk: I made Book marks, 3 of each to give to the gals.  I think all of them except me are readers.  We all went to Catholic school in our hometown.
I found a roll of this fabric at the thrift shop  I loved it.  Hope to make a small journal by squares, so a little more cutting to do.
Linking up with our hostess Ms. Julia HERE

Have a wonderful day and enjoy the weekend.
I'll be around to visit Thurs/Sat?
