Welcome and I'm remembering it's Wednesday, the day we share our work space.  Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND hosts our gatherings and offers anyone to play along. Just stop over and enjoy.
I truly don't know where last week went. I didn't realize I even missed posting until Friday. No doubt if you follow on Facebook, we had lots of tree damages in our area,with high winds,  but I think most now have them loaded up and hauled away. It was so hot  98/115 with humidity for several days.  Yesterday and today   perfect days  no wind, no humidity about mid 70's.  

My desk today:

 one area working with old book pages/and sorting out papers for a small journal

this work space has all that I own of Postal items. I had made post cards and really liked the homemade stamps I've been seeing.  

Well have a wonderful week.  I'm cleaning out my storage area ! !  just in case I become missing.

Welcome to all,  It's Wednesday the day we share our work space.  Over at the STAMPING GROUND  you can partake or spend sometime visiting others.

My desk !!!!  Well it's been a crazy week since the Holiday.  Here, there and everywhere so not much really happening for creativity

In the background are some paint bottles I used to paint on some torn out book pages, hopefully I can work with them soon.  The stack of books, paper doily's,S&H stamps, and music paper were purchased for $2 at our local thrift store.  I went there for rejuvenation, after feeding Mom breakfast and spending some time showing her photos.   Hoping to work on making a few journals.

 Monday  I made 4 Post Cards to attach 2 ATC's to and mail off for the exchange while in town.

Welcome, it's another Wednesday to share our workspaces.  Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND

My Desk today: A few Vintage flowers sorted by color, a few old cancelled stamps, finishing the process of the week. ATC's for an exchange later July.

We are creating "2 ATC's"  to put on a Postcard.  so I will send four cards and receive 4 back. We could chose our theme as long as it was Vintage.  I have my Postcard backing figured out just have to cut to size and design something fun on the back.

Was a great week to work on these, we had HIGH temps with humidity of 106, enjoyed a few showers to help out the crops and garden. 

Thursday here in the states is a holiday..."the 4th of July"  Celebration of our Independence

Welcome, it's Wednesday the day we share our work space and Ms Julia at the STAMPING GROUND  is our hostess and has all the info on her blog.  It's addictive and fun.

I had one more ATC, a cute card and  beautiful cut out words in another exchange. These came from
Heather and I thank you so much Heather   Such fun.

Have had a little playing time and a lot of interruptions !!!  My hub is not usually in the house during the day. He keeps very busy farming and playing in "His" shop !  But he came through having all his teeth taken out and has been a good patient.  One more day of rest, he's off  pain meds and he can work slowly back into his life style.  Which will involve gaining some weight. He's lost a lot of weight,(25lbs) or so  and has only had ice cream yesterday.  Some jello, an egg, cottage cheese, and more ice cream today.  I keep praying for no side effects or dry socket. 

 Wanted to do some papers with the Gel Press but knew I had to have uninterrupted "Time"  so I organized a little kit of things to use and store in a small lunch box.  Hopefully by next post  I will have made a few for my backgrounds.

Here are sisters Fabric crafting left from Annie  and  right  Jo's wool"dumfing" which always amazes me as I don't think the U.S. has caught on to this so it is unique. Thank YOU both for the friendship and lovely ATC's

Working on Vintage Gluebook pages, I have more posted in another blog post earlier this week on that part of my life.  HERE  lots more photos. 

Apologies for no comments on the WOYWW fun day, electricity and photo issues with our awful weather and hospital visits with mom and appointments for my hubby's broken finger and mouth issues, so also missed 521 posting.  BUT  I'll be around today.

I do treasure your posts, comments and support.  It's been a  great 10 or so years knowing all of you.  

Vintage Gluebook Time

Welcome !   It has been 2 wonderful days with SUNSHINE and drying out from all our crazy wet weather. Electricity and Downloading Photos are working.  And I am at home, hopefully back to some normalcy after a lot of medical issues with my mom and hubby. 

My postal lady was good to me this week, lots of fun mail.  I was thankful my 4th post card was received from our exchange back in April.  Another blog post will appear on ATC's  with my WOYWW group Wednesday.  


Thank You Marilyn for forwarding it on...so glad it came back to you and was not lost.  Such a nice little note too. You don't live too far away.   I really love the collage work you did making this.  THANKS so Much.  

Then I was smitten by Kim's post on VGB facebook posts. Her ATC's were so fun and we agreed to trade.  But she really out did it  as she decorated her envelope so beautifully, gave me "3" ATC's, which are a true delight and put them in a beautifully Collaged homemade envelope.  

THANK YOU Kim  I really will treasure all that you have sent me.  I am hoping you receive mine soon...keep me posted.

I have truly enjoyed learning this art, keeping up with the posts and inspiring group you have sharing and partaking in the fun swaps you organize.  It means a LOT.

It was great to take time to create. Has been hectic here, but with some Sunshine and a few days I can be at home I can maybe clear my desk and begin again !!!

10 Year Anniversary WOYWW #520

Congratulations to Julia for reaching a milestone of keeping WOYWW alive and well.  She is celebrating at her STAMPING GROUND blog so give her a shout out.  Thanks so much Julia.

I did some research and I joined up Jan 19th 2011, it was #85 for WOYWW and 169 desk sharers.
Thanks to ALL of you partaking in our weekly gathering, sharing and supporting event. I appreciate you all, enjoy my visits to your work space and love the comments you share with me. 

My desk today, (1st starting out was a neat little area) I've accumulated too much stuff !!!! WOW started with lots of card challenges, now more mixed media, some fabric work in between, ATC's throughout.  Just a great way to retire ! 

Bits and pieces of a birthday card for my granddaughter, turnng 14 ! Wow she'll be getting a driving permit.  It was a wild week in real life and weather related. But I got several ATC's made and will put them in the mail later today if our road is passable. 

I have several more, but no photos to post right now. 

May you all have a "Happy 10th WOYWW" kind of day.

It's been a wild week. My desk is overwhelming a mess. Way to many projects going on.  I hope the ATC's are buried. 

 I found some new napkins for collaging  just haven't had time to use them.  And below is the "drop" it here spot. Craziness.

Thank all of you for the support from last weeks post.  As of Monday Mother is in the hospital with pneumonia, My brother and family came up for Mother's day so we had a great day visiting her. And later having meal together.  Visited her today with my sister and she seems much better with the oxygen. The sun was out and it finally has warmed up here.

Welcome to our Wednesday gathering. Again doing a scheduled post, our weather is suppose to be heavy rains and high winds, so while I have electricity wanted to post. You can check in here at the Stamping Ground for more information.

I've had much really quiet, personal time,  My hub is working fearlessly trying to beat the weather, planting corn and beans. Spraying when there is no wind and when it's windy he prepares the ground by disking and checking what ponds are still impassable.  And I have to be available to transport at any given moment.

My desk has had many change of events. Not many interruptions for meals when he's working.

  Worked on a few ATC's for our 10th anniversary exchange.  It you would like to exchange let me know and I'll be happy to.   The old book there will have a post of its own shortly. I took it apart and will be using it as a journal. The post HERE  I've reconstructed a book to use for my Vintage Glue Book.

Here I am working with a new leaf die and trying out some different methods of watercolor.
I really liked the green pencil the best.  But need to watch a you tube.  I've watched a lot of them this past week.

I have prayed a lot this week. Tragedy hit my niece's  husbands family. Not far from here was a drive by shooting. The young girl  (25) was killed, her boy friend injured. The bullet went thru her neck and went into his face.  No one yet found.  A few years ago she was a star athlete on a college softball team.  Some wonderful people and such a senseless act.   Several people I know are having health issues and it all seems so serious.

Re Constructing an Old Book for use as a Vintage Glue Book

Welcome, not to long ago I joined a facebook group called "Vintage Glue Book and Pages". It's been a fun experience, following prompts at leisure to create Vintage Collage Pages.
I've always loved my ATC exchanges and working on little spaces, so I started the prompts on 4x6 white index cards, as I have an abundance of them.  But I had no place to put them. I needed a journal/book and felt using an actual page would work better.

I found a good size book, I can glue my 6 already made pieces into and continue using it as I create.

First I deconstructed this book:  And I kept the pages, for maybe using here and there in this book.

 I found red bias tape to finish off the edges  (I thought about the red masking tape and lace, but did not like either as well as the bias tape)

 And I used clothes pins to hold the bias tape until the glue dried.

 I decided against a spine and re read use of my big bite crop a dile. I had red rings and eyelets and the process worked so well.   I then made a white template to use for making the holes for the soon to be added pages.

 My little book is complete.  I will be choosing papers and filling it over my "leisure" time !!

.  This is the group, I have created the Zines for exchange, the "Birds and Bees" post card exchange  just recently.   It's been relaxing and helped me get thru some of life's chaos.
