Pretty clean.. I was a winner of the New Stamp set "Not Forgotten" from Our Daily Bread Designs
and I was so excited about it. It is truly a Patriotic set and with my military family and friends will enjoy it tremendously. Trying some homemade flowers. Was able to make 3 cards for contests this week this afternoon. Was so relaxing.
While visiting our heart patient friend we found time to go to a garage sale and this little item was free!!!! And my husband knows me well...we took the little truck so was easy to load!!!!!! !!!! !!!
It is a Childs Rolltop Desk
For now I washed it up and set it in my laundry room. I think the missing drawers will be replaced by a piece of pelxiglass and I will use the 3 areas as a shelf, until I can find or make replacements.
Then I spotted this little stitchery treasure
"HOME SWEET HOME"
This was so adorable. So much love and labor put into this a Long Time ago.
Only $1.00. I hope to frame it when I can find the proper frame.
Since last weeks post we've had 2 funerals a friends mother and one was my husbands classmate unexpected heart attack, and now another one this Friday, our neighbors son 27yrs old was accidently shot and killed. The man with the heart valve replacement is in critical care and my cancer friend is in hospice. Thanks for all the prayers. These things are so stressfull and sad. None are very old and all were enjoying family and grandchildren so much.
Had some fun things to keep our minds positive. Two fun parties for our Priest who is being transferred after 6 years. We were his 1st marriage in our church, and he truly was kept busy in our area teaching, ministering to 3 churches, coaching and being a friend to all.
A couple of small town celebrations, with good grilled food, music, games in the park etc.
Some very unpredictable weather...towns with 3 to 5 inches of rain, south and east winds in excess of 100mph, destroying trees, buildings and anything in its path. High temps 90 to 98 with very high humidity. Some will be without electricity 2 or more days. Crops flattened and destroyed.
So we can be very thankful, we are all safe, our crops are still standing, very healthy compared to some and Very Thankful that God has Blessed us in Many Ways.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your week. Live your Life to the Fullest, and share your Love.

Love the work space and love the desk! What a great little find! Rain is setting in here, but for PNW that is usual...although after July 5th is typically the dry season. Thanks for sharing!-Amanda #33
What a fab freebie, the desk is adorable, and well done on the stamp win. Sorry to hear you have lost so many peeps lately, life is cruel, sending a hug your way x

Thanks for sharing your space, have a good week!
I too have had a death in the family this week. Hence I couldn't find the time to play along again this week. Maybe next time! Love this little desk you found!
such great finds - the desk is perfect. Hope it rings a little joy. Sounds like tough times - such is life at times. Wishing you strength and peace of mind.
Lovely stamp win and sweet little desk. Sorry life is so hard at the moment but I think every cloud has a silver lining eventually. I saw the photos from the midwest from Monday's storm, shocking really and all that rain too. We got off lightly, relatively, with that one, happy it did no damage for you also.
Hugs
Brenda

Sylvia your life is filled with stress at the moment, my thoughts go with you for sure. That desk is such a find - the tambour top is really getting a rarity these days. I would have snatched it up too!
Hi there Sylvia,It is lovely though the way God mixes trials (losing those we love, seeing others sick) with blessing like the stamp set and the find at the garage sale - great mercies indeed. I am agreeing with you in prayers for those still suffering or in need of healing in your life, thanks for sharing and happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x
What great finds Sylvia. I always buy the bits and pieces of embrodiery and crafty stuff when I see it so cheap because I think of all the time and love that went into it and feel it needs a good home. Vintage gifts are the best kind. Thanks for sharing, Vickie
It's lovely to read that you can still appreciate the good things you have when so much sadness is going on for you. You are well blessed and I hope life is kinder, soon,

Hi, I enjoyed reading your post this week - your desk is looking good with your new stamps and the flowers. The desk is a real find even without a couple of drawers and love the sampler - only 1$, a real bargain. Sorry to hear about the recent sad losses but, despite this, I hope your weekend has still been a good one. Elizabeth x #99
