It's #186 at WOYWW

Oh, it's been awhile, haven't messed with my blog until the day before Christmas and I didn't realize today was What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday until it seen a posting by my friend Glenda.  WOYWW is something Ms. Julia started a few years back, hop over get the deets at her blog the STAMPING GROUND.   It's fun..

A jar of beads, a few scraps from making last minute tags. But really haven't had much time to create.

It was the first Christmas my "Spirit" was not up to par. Besides having Bronchitis, and maybe something similar to Shingles, I've spent 3 wks under the weather.   Had a birthday, had no appetitie, cut back on sending Christmas cards, decorating, and being festive. I did entertain all of my family  Sunday while my son and his family were visiting from Friday to Sunday.
Saturday we took the 3 grandkids to see Arthur Christmas, visited the German POW Nativity, took them to see their great grandparents new apartment, had our Chrisitmas supper, watched video's of Camryn's basketball games, their Christmas plays and opened gifts. Was so good to be together.
Christmas Eve was our Children's Mass and this was the only picture I was able to have enough light to snap a picture of our Nativity.
Christmas Day we spent with my DH family at his father's apartment. Nice and Cozy and lots of goodies.

Thanks for stopping by, I've missed all of my visitors and taking time to respond, so I'm hoping some energy is receated in this old body and I can get back to normal.

Great Nativity picture there. I must light the candles in mine now too as it has got darker.
Sorry to hear you have been poorly and I can sympathise with you as I have been in a similar state with antibiotics for Christmas! Again!
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Happy WOYWW, there seem to be many that are under the weather this year. I missed the bug for Christmas, but woke up this morning with a terrible head cold, runny, nose, cough and ringing in my ears. Praying the new years is brighter for all of us.

I'm sorry you have been under the weather! Hope you are on the mend soon! So far so good for me to date. I'm usually the one who is sick this time of year. Love all the pretties there on your desk. Is that rolled up lace in the background? Makes my mouth water!

I have heard that comment from a lot of WOYWW bout their spirit not being 100%! I have to admit mine wasn't either. I managed to get the tree up 4 days before Christmas and got the boxes sent off the the granddaughters but outside of that I was on autopilot! It has been a restful holiday and I may do it again next year! Hope you are having a great holiday week and Happy New Year! It is busy time of year but like you I couldn't miss the last WOYWW of the year! Enjoy the rest of your holidays! Vickie #4

Sounds like a lovely family Christmas, with lots of traditional and not-so-traditional events. Sorry to hear you were unwell for it, but hope that it isn't spoiling your holidays too much... Continuing good wishes for the festive season, and happy WOYWW!

Sylvia...so sorry you felt so out of sorts for the holidays...and sorry for the sickness, too...it sure can take the fun out of things. I do hope you're getting some rest and feeling back to normal. Hopefully a fresh new year will find you re-energized! It does sound like you had some wonderful time spent with family...so happy to hear that!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been laid low for over two months, Sylvia. Your wonderful family must have been delighted that you were able to enjoy the Christmas festivities. I hope you didn't overdo and I hope that 2013 finds you happy and crafty and most of all, healthy!! Darnell #53

Oh Sylvia, it's great to see you. sorry you've been stricken and low, bronchitis is very hard work...I expect it'll be a fair few more days before you feel sparky again. Lovely to be surrounded by generations of your family at such a time......it's so good for the soul! Your desk remains a happy sight, I do love all the compartments so lovingly filled with pretties!
