My desk:
More birthday cards, for 2 niece sisters later this month and the last of my homemade tomato juice.
But my main concern this week has been PRAYER, my daughter in law is from the Philippines, I've met a LOT of her friends and I am overwhelmed by the devastation that happened there. I saw this photo on Facebook and again I shed more tears. How awful for these people.
They are such kind, loving family people, and religious people, and I prayer to God that he helps them overcome this horrific devastation. It hurts my heart to know how much Americans take for granted each and every day. We waste more than they'll ever have, and we need to reach out, be generous,
Sending love and prayers their way, with hopes that all can
find food, shelter and peace within. They are loving people and believe in God
so strongly, I hope they can remain strong thru His love and help.

Such a heartwarming post today Sylvia... and yes, we do take much for granted in the Western world. It is good to remind us sometimes that we should be grateful for what we have and think of/help people that are in need. Thank you for this reminder - big hug from Holland. Marit #84
What a wonderful view of your desk this week. Love the cards!

Like you, I have also felt the pain of those suffering in the disaster areas. We have so much and yet there is so little we can do to help.....just clean water flowing from our taps has taken on a whole new life.
So many thoughts and prayers have been said for them.
Hugs,

Love your Purple cards! Beautiful shade of Purple. My Sister-in-Law has a son, his wife and baby in the Philippines, they are doing fine, but so many are not.
Thank you for the visit, Hugs, Robin 80
My husband has fond memories of serving in the Philippines. He found the people warm and welcoming. What devastation and loss. We have had flooding and tornadoes but nothing like this. Seems like these tragic natural events are increasing. hugs Peg R #102

The pictures from the Philippines are indeed shocking and I hope the aid reaches them quickly...
Your cards are stunning. Helen 17
I think we all feel the same don't we. We have so much and yet it is so difficult for individuals to help. Thankfully our countries do try hard to get support out as fast as they can. x Jo
