Going thru my 12x12 box of supplies for making Sympathy Cards. Seems I've used a lot of these lately.
I've a dear blogging friend, whose father is now in hospice. Brings back my July memories of my dad.
There is no easy way around it. I'll no doubt rearrange these papers time, and time again before I start to glue them together. I ordered some glue online but got a nice little reply that she cannot ship it until the temperatures warm up. Something I hadn't thought of.. Today was 40, the snow melted, it was 9 yesterday and tomorrow night's forcast more snow and sub zero temps. Maybe I'll get my glue in May !
Thanks to all of you who stopped by with comments last week. Enjoy your WOYWW adventures today.
I'll be visiting here and there. I've plans to visit my mother before the storm arrives so may be a snowday visit.

Oh still so cold where you live? Living in California I tend to forget little things like glue freezing in route, but hopefully it will get there before your forecasted May.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's father. I'm sure your card will help her through this difficult time. #1
Living in the same or similar conditions as yours, I have to empathize about the glue. May sounds about right to me, too (grin).
It's too bad you've had to use so many sympathy cards lately. I hope that ends soon. Thanks for visiting me already. Happy WOYWW from # 3.
WOW! That's cold, hope it warms up for you, it's hard to imagine that sort of cold.. Happy WOYWW

Sympathy cards are just the hardest to make. Worse to send, even worse to receive . . . but that's part of life, I suppose. Bless you for being a good friend.

Hello again, I think it is always good to have sympathy cards in your collection. Far too often we need to send them out to friends and family. Stay snug and warm.

I just wrote a sympathy card this evening myself....sometimes they just go in a group sadly. Just happened to see your "about me" and just love your description - especially the fact you think your husband is adorable!!! Have a great week. Sara j #32
Sympathy cards are so hard, those look just right. Hope you have a good week, hope you get your glue soon! Helen 10
I think it is that time of year/life because tomorrow I will be going to the 4th funeral since just before Christmas. Guess that's just life but I know how you will be feeling.
Big hugs,

This is something that we never think about here in Australia, gosh glue freezing while shipping, kind of unheard off. Sorry to hear about your friend not a nice time to be part of. Sending you cyber hugs lots of them.
Happy WOYWW

So frustrating about your glue. Can't believe how cold it is where you are. We just get rain, rain and a bit more rain!!! Happy WOYWW.

I had to scroll down to see where you live, Here in the south of the UK its has been the endless storms and flooding that people have to contend with. But luckly no snow, pretty mild in fact. Hope it warms up soon Francesca #62
Ah teh glue problem..my lounge room is currently home to a couple of tins of temperature sensitive wood lacquers - in our case I think the glue is OK - it's not cold..just horribly wet. You might have to resort to tape!
I like the plans for the cards you show - Im guessing that the reluctance to actually commit and stick is part of that thing in your head that we none of us really want to have to be making and giving such cards. Shows your kindness is true then huh - that you're doing it anyway.
Hi Sylvia, just popping in to spy your desk, sorry you're making sympathy cards, I struggle with them. I'm having a chuckle about the glue - I suppose the closest we can relate to this in Australia is that we have ceiling fans on most of the time and that plays havoc with embossing powder. Cheers RobynO#51
we all need those sympathy cards like it or not. Your desk looks like you are well under way with them. We had snow a few days ago and now this morning we had thunderstorms. How crazy is that!
Always the hardest cards to make and have to send, but a nice feeling to receive heartfelt thoughts at such a sad time.
It would never have crossed my mind about the glue freezing.. Hope your weather gets better soonest..

Yes I guess it's just our time of life etc - we have had a few funerals recently. I'm not good with sympathy cards though. I tend to go for one of my pretty dumflings - something a bit cheery, I think. x Jo
Ya glue and freezing temperatures are not o good combo, good thing the merchant was savvy to not send to you!! Your cards are looking good!Have a great week, Ginny #74
It sounds really weird that they couldn't post your glue because it is too cold but sensible when you think about it ... I have heard of other crafters who have had trouble wilth things like gelatos freezing in their mail boxes. have a good week

Stay warm with the weather! We have had sub zero temps for weeks and so much snow that there is an 8 foot pile at the bottom of my driveway! It has to melt soon (I hope?) Awesome desk. Hope your glue arrives soon!
