It's been a few weeks, but I've had "Life" things to do. But today I've a few extra minutes to share my desk, as that't what Julia over at the STAMPING GROUND and lots of others do on Wednesday's.
If you are new to this she as all the fun info on her blog on how it all works.
Almost every area that is flat, *(tables, desks, chests, floor) have stacks of stuff. Dishes, projects started and not finished, Christmas gifts lined up to be wrapped, labeled and mailed out, paper work to finish for mother, unopened mail and the list goes on, but I was able to get a few photos from my camera to the NEW 8.1 computer headache
It's as far as I could go......to get to my desk.
We got mother's house sold. So Saturday and Sunday, my brother came to visit and loaded up dads 1966 Ford truck. The 50 degree temps had the snow all melted and made things somewhat easier. We were able to pick and choose items left and bring home. That's where all the stacks have come from. I washed all the glass ware and sets of dishes, now to find a shelf or storage for them. So I have a table to eat on.
After another few days back and forth to the Realtors office, papers signed, keys turned over to the new owners. They move in today.
Here in the USA it will be Thanksgiving Holiday tomorrow, quiet for us, but we will have the traditional turkey, dressing, meal with mother at the Assisted Living. Everyone else will be out of town. And maybe I can get things back in order little by little. The weather will be a factor today. More snow due, with the high winds, so snow advisory's are posted.
Wishing you and yours a Blessed Holiday and a great long weekend. I don't do the power shopping and don't believe in stores being open on Holidays, but that is the trend here now. I don't like crowds when I shop, winter driving when people are in a hurry, so guess I am aging. Family seems more important. And getting organized again is a must or I'll lose my mind !!!! Thinking of you during this Holiday event. I'm glad the house sold and things are moving on for you. Sorry your weather is going to be so cold and snowy. Have a good Thanksgiving there!

Hi Sylvia,
well that was quick, touchy pad on my laptop. Sure does get busy this time of year ... and for you all tackling the house selling/moving, big job on top of the gifts, cards and then tiding up...hope it all goes smoothly Cheers RobynO#34
wow, your room is awesome, so much stuff in there! Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing,
Happy WOYWW Ginny #43
What a lot on your plate for this time of the year. Hope you enjoy your day with your mom on Thanks Giving. #3
O.M.G. That's what I call a craft room! A real happy place! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #41
What a great room! Couldn't help but admire all those dies and punches. However do you choose which one to use. I have only a few, so my choices are easy. LOL and TSF
What I noticed in all the disaray, are all those Spellbinder dies and how easily you can get to them. Mine are in notebooks in a cubbard under my work area. I have to get down on my knees, then go through the notebook to see what I want. It is good storage, but I love being able to look at them on the wall and just get them so easily! Great idea! Thank you for the peeek, and I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving! #57
Happy Holidays to you and yours. Really hope you manage to get a bit of order to your life soon so you can enjoy creative times.
Hugs,

Sorting out houses and handling sales always takes too much energy...it's never straightforward! It takes a lot of emotional energy too...
Your desk is looking very busy indeed! Hope you get time to chill a little....and I don't like crowds when shopping either!
Hugs, LLJ 25 xx
What an amazing array of kit you have in that lovely room! Glad things sound like they've gone fairly smoothly, although it's a huge strain on everyone, as well as your Mum. Well done on keeping things together, and I hope Thanksgiving is as restful as it can be. I agree about the commercialism of Christmas, but love this time of year, for all that. Hugs, Chris # 8
I bet you are glad the house sale is over and done with!
I'm just in awe of how much stuff you have! My DH was looking over my shoulder and he commented on the millions of dies and punches hanging up! If I lived nearer I'd come and borrow one or two. I have only a few punches and dies.
Thanks for letting me look over your shoulder,
Have a good week,
Lisca#24
Thanks for sharing the very real chaos of the season. You are a busy lady. I too have mail to send out, but woke to over a foot of snow, school busses canceled, so I will not be heading into town today. Keep smiling and creating
This looks like a great crafty room with everything laid out ready for use, love it. Happy crafting, Angela x 60
Ah Sylvia, I hope you had a peaceful Thanksgiving..it's not age, it's state of mind for sure. I hate crowded shopping and winter driving under pressure too. I refuse to accept it's an age thing. I like to think it's just plain sensible to love what you've got! Your room is indeed stacked, but I still couldn't take my eyes of your nestabilities collection - how fab! Am perfectly sure your Mum is feeling her blessings having you guys sort out the difficult bits for her, it's so much work and frightening for seniors I think. You'll get the sorting sorted for sure, don't stress, just little and often!
Looks like my room, piles everywhere! Good to hear you could sell the house at this difficult time. We have to sell my father's house in France (he unexpectedly passed away a couple of months ago) and it's not an great time for selling houses. Hang in there with the snow, take care dear! Hugs xx
Thanks for your kind comments on my blog - sorry its a late call this week - Blogger keeps refusing to load for me! I am feeling much better and have even managed some sewing!! x Jo
Thank you for your sweet visit to my blog Sylvia, you have had so much to do with the house of your mothers, I can tell, I know how that is from my own tour down that road.
I love your sewing room /studio- it looks almost like mine, lol-not that they are allike, but we both have so much stuff everywhere,-I felt at home right away seing your photo.
Hugs, Dorthe
Hello Sylvia and thank you for stopping by. I wish I could be making messes like that in the studio, but hopefully I will be full swing next year at this time. I hope you have a Merry Christmas season!
