It's been a busy week, but wanted to partake in the WOYWW #334 hosted by the lovely Julia at the STAMPING GROUND. If your new to this, she has all the info on her blog about partaking and visiting others workspaces.
A once in a life time view. My DH office desk. The room is emptied out as we are getting new carpet in our office/computer space and also in the small bedroom identical to this. Small rooms 11x9. The house is total chaos.
We still have bedroom furniture to move out of the other room before the carpet layer gets here and have to tear out the carpet and pad.
I took all of my rubbermaids containing Christmas, out of the basement storage, to bring up to the garage to sort so my normal workspace is buried also. I need to weave thru the mess and a make a couple of sympathy cards. My brother in law's sister passed from her bout with pancreatic cancer. She lived in Texas, so I must get them mailed and flowers ordered.
Our weather was so beautiful up until yesterday, it became cold and damp, rain in the forecast for today and 45 MPH winds. We were able to finish up all the outside work, mowing, leaves, and putthings in storage in the garden shed on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. That is a good feeling.
Also got the garage swept out and rearranged to make room for "those" rubbermaids. I think there are 14 of them. Even vacuumed the inside of the vehicles.
I am hoping my patience and body can work thru this mess, but I have several of you going thru construction so I keep telling myself "this is an easy peasy compared to what some are doing".
Have a wonderful week and I'm off to do some visiting after I make myself some coffee. Thanks for stopping by.

Keep smiling my friend...there really is light at the end of the tunnel...this is rather appropriate for here today cos our builders are putting a sun tunnel in our roof through to the new kitchen :-) Have a great week.
Hugs,

Just keep the thought of the new carpets in mind there, Sylvia. You will get there. Before I read the write up, I was shocked to see so pristine a desk. Help, I thought - but the panic attack subsided as I realised the reason behind an empty desk.
Sorry to hear about your brother in law's sister. I trust you will be able to say just what your heart is feeling as you make the card.
Take care. God bless.

yes as the others said - it will be great when it is done :) You have managed to do quite a bit. I can't even get into our garage - its such a mess . Have a good week x Soojay 19
That's what I hate about getting something new. We did hardwood in two different stages and it felt like we moved everything twice! What a mess, but well worth it in the end! Glenda #24
Hi Sylvia,
You've been very busy! I debated about taking up my carpet and putting down Pergo laminate but decided not to. If the plan stays the same I'll be out of my place in a few years.
Your husband's desk reminds me of the ones when I first started working. I bet it would be fun to spray paint!
Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW
Hugs, Kay (40)
Hi Sylvia, you will know it was worth it when it's all finished but I understand the way you are feeling. The empty desk got me quite worried so it was a relief to read on. Hope you have a good week and happy crafting, Angela x 14
The empty desk worried me too! Isn't it amazing how carpeting two small rooms can cause such grief?? Hope you are ok and get back on track soon :-)
Hugs, LLJ 13 xx
Any beautification to the home is so much work, but so well worth it in the in. I hope you are feeling better now. I really love the old photo hung up on the right hand side of your hubby's desk! Very cool!
Sounds like you've been working hard! I still have some outdoor plants to bring inside. Hope it doesn't freeze hard before I can get to them. Now we'll all start down that steep, slippery slope to Christmas. Seems we pick up speed as the days go by.
Constructions are never fun but so well worth it when done, dear Sylvia. You be amazed how quick you will forget the work and mess. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Marie
