We have SUNSHINE. It's been a gloomy, cold, wet, for 3 wks here in Iowa. Monday I worked with rhubarb, made 9 jars of jelly and a desert rhubarb crisp. The only garden things to work with. Too wet for planting vegetables or flowers. No heat or sun for even the perennials to pop up. Hosta's and Viola's are doing pretty well.
Two weeks ago my DH was dealing with saving this little calf, those of you on Facebook maybe said a few prayers and saw this a few days later. He bottle fed him 3 x a day for about 2 weeks and kept them in the barn to stay warm and out of the rain and wind. Then magically one day he went out at an odd time and baby "Lucky" was up and nursing. Doing well today he let them out to pasture with the others. Then the fun begins. Frolic in the sunshine and running with some new buddies.
Last week Wednesday up early from a phone call about my mom..ended up taking her to the clinic and she is now doing pretty good. No Sunshine and damp weather is taking it's toll. We had 2 retirement parties that week and these were the 2 cards I made.
I've been working on some lace projects I need to put the unfinished eggs away and get this space cleared so I can start sewing them together.
Thanks for visiting and any comments you leave. Hope the world is treating you well. And prayers to the southern states after all the tornado's and flooding. I hope you are all safe.

Hello Sylvia. I love those two cards! They are just great. Well done to the little calf - now he can run around, kick up his heels, and get on with growing up healthy.
Take care. God bless.

I bet your rhubarb makes are delicious. It's one of my favourite fruits. I make muffins when we have too much, they are delicious.
Glad to see Lucky looking so healthy, well done to your DH.
Gorgeous cards too.

It's always nice to visit and see what is going on in your world. We are not too different although I don't have fields of crops or new calfs or even gorgeous lace but we are like minded ladies!
Nice to see you back here - I have been missing for a week or two as well! That rhubarb looks yummy - always one of my favourites - my Dad used to grow it and it was always a good family standby for desert - crumbles, pies and lots of custard! x Jo
What a fun post! A frolicking calf is just the thing for spring weather, isn't it? :)
Best wishes on your etsy shop!

How delish! Just love rhubarb anything especially pies. We used to have it with custard. that is a beautiful story about the calf. here in Texas we had a cold week with high wind and then past 2 days it is up to 89F. Today the humidity is high. So I am am sitting in the AC. Better start on dinner,
Have a great week and hope the weather improves for you.
Pleased to hear the calf is doing well, never a dull moment! Looks like you've had plenty to do since last week. Have a happy woyww, Angela x14x
So glad the calf is doing so well. From the looks of your crafting table, you are definitely keeping busy. We've had some cold weather, too. Sure hope it warms up now and stays warm.
Yummy jelly. And so many other things you are working on. Thanks for sharing.

mmm, rhubarb. Love the quote on the retirement card, that is still a long way away for me, I'm only in my mid 30s,the purple one is hard to read. not a bad place to curl up, next to that lovely painting. Love the design of your banner, crisp and clean but yet colorful. thx for your visit, Vicky
Those jars of jelly look delish and I am quite impressed with the wording no the retirement card.... says it all. Lovely to see the calf bonding and up and about. Hope all goes well with your mum.

I love Rhubarb! Those jelly jars look delectable, but too early for rhubarb here, can't wait until it comes up! The retirement cards look perfect, hope they both have a wonderful retirement! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #32
Pretty cards Sylvia! And where are you in Iowa? I live an hour south and east of Des Moines!
Oh Sylvia, we need to do a sun dance for you...I hope it changes for the better soon! We havent had so much rhubarb this year (its in my In Law's garden)..Dad cut it back really savagely last year and although it's yielded lovely sweet stems, there wasnt a lot...that jam looks marvellous! I really love the two sentiments on the retirement cards, great makes for your friends. So glad your Mom is doing better.
