WOYWW # 510

It's What's On Your Workspace Wednesday.   Our hostess at the STAMPING GROUND would welcome you to visit and play along if you want.

My desk today:

I have been sorting scraps/ephemera/stickers etc. down to this...some jewelry to repair
If any one has ideas for easy access of these items let me know. Scraps I've sorted by color in file folders but the rest I am at a loss for.

A card I made for my sister's birthday:

and in the post below is a large ZINE  12x12 paper was used to make a birthday card for my grandson's 16th birthday.  Some were wondering about Zines  YouTube has several great helps, usually 8 1/2 x 11 paper is used, but  the 12 x 12 made a great card. Had fun making it.

My zine for the swap will be post sometime this next week.   You would not believe how much time it took me to load these 3 photos.  So kind of delay somewhere. But once I located them I re saved them and it worked.

And the following post has several ATC's  I made for the Guest Designer and some for the challenge. They were so fun.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is wonderful.  We are still buried in snow, but travel is good and it is now raining.  Our nephew saw robins in his yard 50 miles south so just maybe SPRING will arrive.

Large Zine for my Grandson

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by.  I have made a Birthday Zine for my grandson who turned 16 a few days ago.  He loves architectural and unusual things. So instead of an $8 card, I thought this would be good.

It was made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock and I used the inside for some quotes I thought were appropriate.   So it is much larger than a zine using the 8 1/2 x 12 . If you want instructions on the folding process there are several excellent YouTube videos.

Inside, most are from Tim Holtz stamps. Fully opened
Evidently I did not take a fully opened of the main zine.  Below still folded  I have 2 parts which make up the pages when folded.

Back side

Below is a little pocket for $$ which comes off  Grandpa wrote on oneside and I wrote on the other.
It was really fun to make, but the photos are quite hard to see. So click and enlarge them. It's been some dark, cold days here.    Have a great week.

Frilly and Funkie Blog and ATC Coins. Challenge

Welcome  My post earlier on Coin ATC's was for being chosen as Guest Designer for this month.    This post is for the Challenge here at  Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog.    I had so much fun I made some extra Coin ATC's.   Visit and have fun with the challenge.
Above the : the "Frilly"     Below the process and items used.

These are 2 "Frilly" ATC Coins on top of an old book
The first coin was cut from two toned white card stock.
The flower was made from an old purse, using golden soft vinyl and the Sizzix dies, a silhouette die cut, the butterfly is gold painted in her hair.
The 2nd coin was cut from white packing cardboard and painted with the Inka Gold, some lace, and a piece of ephemera lady
The  2nd set are the "Funky" ATC Coins.   The coin is from a masterboard I made sometime ago, with T.H. distress oxide inks.  A funky stamp from Dylusions,  Dyan Reaveley's  Mini Me and  a washi tape comment.
Here's the 2nd  "Funky" one   Coin cut from My Mind's Eye paper pad,  Sizzix dies by T.H.  Hipster Goat
The next two were just random use of  Repurposed papers  Made from a Kleenex box and Corragated white  packaging cardboard          Again Sizzix die "Songbird"
3 things from my stash I hadn't used: a die by Little B,  a Flamingo, Embossing folder a gate and washi tape of flamingo's

All of these are Very Mailable.  And such fun to create.  Thank you for stopping by. I was unable to post the other photo, some limit on space ??  Tech Never ceases to amaze me

Frilly and Funkie ATC COIN Challenge

So happy to have you stop by. This post is for the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog. I was chose as Guest Designer for this month's challenge back in February for my Vintage Valentine. (HERE)

The Challenge theme this time is "Artist Trading Coins"
I am so honored to be guesting this challenge here at the Frilly and Funkie Blog. The theme could not have been more fun.  I love the challenge of the small details the ATC's  offer in creating them.  The "Coin" is a 2 1/2 Circle" base on which to create your theme.

I have chosen to share the Vintage Steampuk design for this post as I have not used any of the stash I have for it. It is the one with the most dimension from the others I have made.

The coin was cut from cardstock with the 2 1/2 inch Spellbinders Circle die, then embossed with the Mechanics Gear 3D embossing folder bySizzix designed by Tim Holtz  and distressed with his Vintage Photo and Walnut inks.

Some of the supplies I used. The wire going across the coin was wrapped around this bottle to have it pop out from the card
The blue glue pen is a great product to use for such small areas.
I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix thinlit dies Gearhead cut from his paper pad  Tattered Time, some of the Idea-ology male paper dolls and a small wooden ruler I cut to 2 1/2 inches.

I had some fun making additional ATC Coins. Some are "Frilly" and some are "Funkie" to enter their challenge.  They were all fun, and you can stop back here on Friday to see that post.

I thank all the people at the  "Frilly and Funkie Blog" for choosing me to do this post. Take time to visit them. They have a great design team. And they offer so much inspiration on each post. .

WOYWW #509

Hi everyone, it's 3 a m, something loud awoke me and I realized it's Wednesday.  Julia hosts our sharing of the desks over on her blog the STAMPING GROUND.  Besides just sharing our crafty hobbies, we also make comments to desk shares from the link up, when we don't have some life pressing issues. As a phone conversation is rarely possible with this many blogging friends,as we range from areas ALL over this world.
I will visit today and try to pick up the conversations of last week as I never made many visits. It was many life issues or one of those weeks you really just don't have the UP attitude or even the time to just pop in for a quick view.

My desk was in darkness  *click on the photos to enlarge.  The room is in total chaos  and I have several birthday cards for March to get made. The ideas just not popping out at me.

Lots of stamps, working on the Zine,  enjoying the challenge.  Will share at some point
Our little winter friend who takes up shelter under this table. We are feeding him corn/vegetable peelings etc as his normal eating is totally under piles of snow. The first I noticed him there, he was nibbling on a tree branch. I cannot open this patio door as a wall of 4ft snow is pasted against it. He has 2 friends who come and go also.
My husband puts out corn in the road lanes for the beautiful pheasants trying to survive. No warm up in sight and more snow on the way this weekend  We will drive to the city today, roads are good now, for his  medical checkup on the smashed finger.  He's doing well, so hoping maybe cast off and therapy.

Thank you to all who made comments last week.  I double up this week  as I do enjoy seeing your photos.   Have a happy WOYWW  and enjoy a good week.
