Welcome to our Wednesday gathering. Again doing a scheduled post, our weather is suppose to be heavy rains and high winds, so while I have electricity wanted to post. You can check in here at the Stamping Ground for more information.
I've had much really quiet, personal time, My hub is working fearlessly trying to beat the weather, planting corn and beans. Spraying when there is no wind and when it's windy he prepares the ground by disking and checking what ponds are still impassable. And I have to be available to transport at any given moment.
My desk has had many change of events. Not many interruptions for meals when he's working.
Worked on a few ATC's for our 10th anniversary exchange. It you would like to exchange let me know and I'll be happy to. The old book there will have a post of its own shortly. I took it apart and will be using it as a journal. The post HERE I've reconstructed a book to use for my Vintage Glue Book.
Here I am working with a new leaf die and trying out some different methods of watercolor.
I really liked the green pencil the best. But need to watch a you tube. I've watched a lot of them this past week.
I have prayed a lot this week. Tragedy hit my niece's husbands family. Not far from here was a drive by shooting. The young girl (25) was killed, her boy friend injured. The bullet went thru her neck and went into his face. No one yet found. A few years ago she was a star athlete on a college softball team. Some wonderful people and such a senseless act. Several people I know are having health issues and it all seems so serious.
Wishing you all well, thank you for all who commented. I hope to do better this week.

What a tragic thing to happen! Hope you don't lose power and your hubby can get his work done. Helen #1
What a terrible tragedy Sylvia, such a waste of a young life. I hope everything gets planted despite the weather. I am only posting to the next person on the list with an asterisk this year as I am time poor for making lots of ATCs, otherwise I would have loved to do a swap. Happy WOYWW Sarah #4
There seems to be so much harm to each other in the world now, there's knife and gun crime in our local news sadly most days now :( really sorry to hear this Sylvia. Creativity can help block out what's going on around us if only for a moment. Lovely to see your busy desk.

Oh Sylvia, I read that the high winds are keeping you from sleeping too, you seem to have a lot on your mind. The weather has really been such a test for your darling farmer. I love the research with the paints, they all look lovely, specially the shiny ones at left! Horrific news from the neighbourhood, what a senseless and cruel loss of life.
I guess that when you have to stay at home, it's good to spend it doing stuff that you want, until you have to go out for transport. Enjoy and don't feel guilty about having some you-time. I'm so sorry about the awful news though, what a waste of life.

Sounds like your weather is getting ready to turn bad! Hope your husband gets lots done before it hits. Farming is a difficult job but also can be very rewarding. Your desk is very busy and I too watch a lot of YouTube videos on all kinds of stuff! Hope the rest of your week is a good one!

Oh Sylvia, what a terrible tragedy and such a waste of a young life - it sounds like you are having a very tough time of it at the moment.
I hope your craft room brings you a little peace where you can escape the harsh realities of life and immerse yourself in something relaxing, even if only for short while.
I would love to swap an ATC with you - it's coming round very quickly again isn't it - I was only making ATC's for the 9th anniversary a few weeks ago!!
Hugs, Diana xx #18
It is a fantastic desk you have - I love all the watercolour stuff :D
Kind regards

What a dreadful thing to happen, so upsetting. Why do people have to behave that way? I am busy making ATCs too, but most of mine are PTCs (parchment trading cards). They take a while so I need to crack on. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #24
I would love to swap an ATC with you. So sorry to hear about all the distressing events happening, prayer really does help and I will add mine to yours. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW and have a great week. With love and God Bless, Caro x (#17)
Hi Sylvia, that is such a tragic loss of life so young. I really do fear for what our world is turning into. I would love to exchange ATCs with you. I'll add you to my little list if that's ok? Wishing you a peaceful week, Heather x #11
What a tragedy! A senseless crime too. I hope they find the person responsible soon. Hopefully crafting helps. Elizabeth x #27
Hi Sylvia, I have to appologise as I thought I'd visited you this week but now realised I had't. There are some very sad things going on in the world at the moment. I hope they find who did this before the person hurts someone else. Your leaves look pretty and I'm wondering what you have planned for them. Sending hugs and happy belated woyww, Angela x15x now I had better check who else I missed Lol!
Sorry Sylvia, meant to say I would love to swap ATCs with you. Hugs, Angela xXx
Sylvia, I am so sorry to hear of the tragedy your family has had to endure. It seems to be getting worse and worse in the US these days. People (myself included) just don't want to go across the border anymore because of the guns. I wonder what it will finally take for the government to wake up? I dread to wonder...
Your desk looks nice and creative today, it's always fun to experiment! Hubby (and you) sound very busy with Spring planting, hopefully it will result in a bounty crop this year. We don't thank our farmers enough for the backbreaking work they do so that we can just go to the store and buy the produce, so Thank You from Canada! I will think of you when I am eating wonderful sweet corn in the summer! Lindart #34
