WOYWW #558

Welcome to my blog and THANK YOU to all who left messages from last weeks posts.
Ms Julia is our hostess and she encourages new people to join up with the sharing of your desks on Wednesday. HERE will get you the info.

We spent Friday/Saturday visiting my son and his family in Cedar Rapids about 3.5 hrs away.  We were finally able to do our Christmas, attend Camyrn's Jr. Varsity and Varsity basketball games Friday night and Cael's district swim meet Saturday. My daughter in law was diagnosed with a blood clot in her lung, so was somewhat resting. Was a beautiful sunny day and a fun trip home.

My desk

Some purchases from Tuesday Morning's new store. It was on our way to my grandson's swim meet...SO I had to stop. Oh how I wish I was closer to that area.  So much to do.  The city is thriving and easy to get around.
And this was delivered, my new Tonic glass desk mat. I will be able to use it soon I hope.
Spending as much time as I can with my Mom...there have been no changes. But I know she can hear.  My brother was able to be with here on Saturday while I was away and I know she would have been so pleased. He has a 4 hr trip to visit.

Wishing you all the best and enjoy your WOYWW. I'll try to make some visits this week, getting use to my new phone.

Praying for you and your mom.
Everyone seems to like the TH glass mat so I hope you get to play with yours soon. And what a lot of lovely things you bought on Tuesday. maybe as well you don't live near the store.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

I'm doing a whistle stop tour of all my favourite desks before I make my next Memory bear [and this one is for a very special little girl to take to her new adoptive home...what lovely jobs eh?].
I've been thinking about you often and hope the positive vibes from us all will help you get through this difficult time.
Hugs,

Think of you and the family Sylvia, our Mom's are so special. Glad you have been able to take a break and at last visit your Son & Family, those crafty finds will help you take your mind off things when you get chance to have a play with them. Take care & thanks for sharing WoywW Tracey #10 xx

I'm glad you had a respite from caring for your mum though hope your DiL is ok, a blood clot on the lung sounds pretty serious to me.
You remember to take care of yourself as well xx

Hi Sylvia, my good wishes to your DIL, and I hope she's doing well. So good you can spend the time with your Mom, that will be a comfort to you both, I know.
Great that you got to visit a craft store on your travels! Looks like you got some fab pieces. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #1 X

Ah Sylvia, its hard isn’t it. My mum too has good hearing and there are times when I find myself completely unable to talk to her..then I have to read to her. Sometimes I just think what I’m saying is just rubbish and I cant bear to hear myself! Thinking of you. Must have been lovely to get to your son’s and see your grandsons, a perfect change of pace which will have come as a much needed break. Am a but jealous of the shopping spree, would love to visit a Tuesday Afternoon store!

Glad you had a beautiful sunny day and some lovely family time away. Thinking of you and your Mom. My Mum is getting frail now too - she had a fall at the weekend but luckily no broken bones. Take care.

You have a wonderful lot of new stash there, I especially like the vintage stamps - the sewing machine one would be so useful as I know such a lot of crafters!
I hope your DiL's recovery goes well and I am thinking of your and your mum.
Sending hugs,
