Unusual Birthday Cards

Good Morning,

A project almost finished.   I've 2 birthdays for ladies in our town, 88 and 103. With the situation in our world I always think MAIL is good to receive.  Trying to decide WHEN to mail.  An in town piece of 1st class mail,   mailed  Dec 21st took until 28th after Christmas.  It took 12 days for a small 1st Class from Iowa to Tennessee.

My idea was to create 88 candles on one card and 103 on the other.  I did that by using an embossing folder with 14 candles. counting the back side I had 28 on one page.   I had to make 1 candle with the odd number 103.  Cards are 5 1/2 x 4 1/2

You can enlarge this photo to see the embossing, I used yellow for the candle flame.
My desk,  and all the colors I used for the candles

The Envelope Front  Hoping I can drop this off
Backside of cards and envelope
Front side of card at top and 103/1 sparkly candle last page
The back side of the cards

Front cover has 10 candles,  (5 each side)   2 pages have 14 each side 28 =56, 1 page 13 each side = 26, back page has 10 and 1 added =11   EQUAL 103
The backside of the envelope and front side of the card

~~~~~~~~On to the next one~~~~~ ~!!!!
This card may be mailed  It is a little thinner, not as many pages, and a simpler envelope. It  Has 3 pages x 28 = 84     1 cover has 4 candles = 88
Front of the envelope  and the back of the cards. held together in the corner with some ribbon
Thanks for stopping by, this was a 3 to 4 day project, with cutting, embossing , having ink dry and creating ideas for fronts and backs. And of course figuring out the totals  But is was fun.
Everything turned out so well! People not into crafts have no idea how labor intensive a simple birthday card can be. All those candles obviously did take some time! Hope your weather is moderating!
