Welcoming in 2022 with our Wednesday post and sharing our desks. All on the Link up of our great hostess Ms. Julia HERE While most of the USA is having weather issues of minus degree temps, snow, ice and wind. We have missed all of it but the extreme cold. But it's fun to bundle up!!
My desk!
Working with a new Magic Mat...not as easy as the plastic with my Big Kick, Works well with all my other dies but the Tim Holtz dies then need a cardstock shim.
My military son an family, took a train to visit Berlin over the New Year holidays. His idea is long weekends they will be touring the countries near by. We took quite a few day bus tours when we visited on their last assignment 9 years ago. Hoping we can visit again, but flight delays/covid so much enters the picture in this crazy world we are living in now. My idea UK/Wales !!! I miss seeing them so much, the girls are growing up so fast. They do love school and many adventures.
My desk again:
I cleared a spot and unpacked a small bag of a big variety of TASSELS ! Wondering what my plan for these were, any ideas let me know. Lots of sizes and variety of colors.
Well he swept me away for a Chinese Lunch and some shopping and it was FANTASTIC, it's been so long since we've visited this place, a buffet, but they supplied plastic gloves to dish up your choices and lots of space between tables. It was his shopping !!! I stayed in the car and when I went in Target I could find nothing on my list. He went to 4 stores for kitty liter and no one had ANY. Picked up the last bag on the way home at a small grocery store.
Thanks for all the fun visits last week and I hope to be around to visit, if we don't lose electricity.
We are in the midst of a winter storm, winds up to 60 mpr already. Fingers crossed it by passes us.

Hope you keep your power - glad you got out for a trip and a meal. I hope you get to visit your son and family soon - travel seems so complicated with covid! take care Helen #3
Hope the winds pass you by without any problems Sylvia. Lovely tassels and sounds like a great meal out too. We were last at Checkpoint Charlie in 2019 on our annual school visit - not since then of course. Hope to see you in the shed if you make it to the UK. Happy New Year, stay safe and Happy WOYWW. It’s colder here today but nowhere near as cold as with you. Let’s hope a sunny Spring is just about the corner eh?
Hugs,

Happy New Year, Sylvia. Brrr! 60mph winds - I stay indoors at that point, I must admit. Hope you don't get damage.
Hmmm... tassels... what to do, indeed. No ideas, I'm afraid, as my crafty head hasn't re-appeared since Christmas, yet. Hope you find lots of gorgeous things to do, though.
If you do indeed get to Wales, and you come to the North, I'd love to meet up with you - it would be good to have coffee or lunch or something...
Take care. God bless.

We actually had snow here and the temps went from 75 to 28 in one day! Just look at all those tassels, I'm anxious to see what you do with them. Today starts the voting to stay on the Heartfelt Creations team. Can you vote for me: https://submit.jotform.com/submit/213185718174156/
Happy New Year! Stay safe in all the wild wind and weather. Ours is lovely today - bright and sunny but about 3 degrees. Not sure what to suggest about tassels - can think of a few "costumes" but we don't want to go that way do we!!! xx Jo
I do hope the storm passed you by or didn’t do any damage . I am sorry I am out of ideas for tassels! Angela #1
Wow, is a visit so Wales really in the pipeline? You absolutely have to come and visit if it is! I’m glad you’re not having the worst weather, I don’t mind the cold as long as we have a fire going or something warm to wear. How marvellous that your son and family a re able to travel, I think the weekends idea is a good one!
Happy 2022, may it be full of fun and crafting!

Happy New Year Sylvia - glad you had a lovely meal, and I hope you don't lose your electricity! I've no ideas at all fr the tassels - decorate something, just no idea what. Nice photo of your son and family - is that Checkpoint Charlie? I have a photo of that somewhere from when I went. Would be wonderful if you did travel to Wales - we could have a crop!! Have a lovely week, Heather #23
A bit late tonight but always try to get round everyone if possible so I'm here to wish you Happy New Year. Hope you get chance to see your family soon. As for the tassels, I have loads of them and just don't know what to do with them and can't even remember what the original reason was for buying them so don't think I will be much help. Have a lovely woyww and a great week. Hugs, Angela x20x
A shopping trip where you can’t get what you want…argh. Similar happening here, some shelves empty and lack of deliveries or stock being blamed on COVID…either the manufacturing that halted during last years lockdowns or lack of staff because of illness, it’s a horrid situation all round. Very happy you had such good food, I love a Chinese meal, got to be one of my favourites. Tassels? No ideas at all Sylvia, but am pretty sue you’ll pull something out of the bag! I’m very excercised by the idea that you might make it over here for a trip when you son and family venture this far…ANYTHING I can do that means I could have a meet up …just ask!
Hope your still with electricity despite the wretched weather you're enduring. It's grim here in Scotland too but so far no threat to our electricity. I lived in Germany for six years and confess I never got to visit Berlin! I hope you make it to the UK and Wales once the dreaded virus has been conquered. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #28
