Welcome, it' been a whirlwind. But today is the day we share our desks, MS Julia HERE has all the details if you are new to this group. But I'll warn you it is addicting.
Two weeks ago, I shared the little white wood basket with pink items, here's a close up of those fun things inside.
Here's my desk wanted to work with stencils and backgrounds but was called away. These were last weeks projects finally completed. Rolodex cards with Pink theme. I share on Instagram mostly, it seems quicker and easier than the blog.
I hope you are all doing well. We are, spent our 17th Wedding Anniversary on a little trip to the far Western corner of Iowa to visit a new Casino. We needed a break, kids were on vacation and hubby will soon be in the field. We've had a funeral last week of a friend (67) and word that a 2nd cousin (40) died of a heart attack that funeral is this week. Kind of why I've scheduled this post.

Weather has settled down a bit, still humid, but our air conditioning takes care of that. Just a lot of bad hair days !!! when outdoors. Just know also that I continue to pray for Ukraine and all of Europe, the news never seems too great. Oil/Gas, big bucks $$ food $$ $/shortages of common items here.

The news is depressing isn't it - and the war rages on in the Ukraine although we don't get as much coverage these days as we did. It was 6 months since it started according to the news last night - I too continue to pray for them, it is so upsetting thinking of those poor women who do not know whether their sons, boyfriends, husbands, brother, fathers are still alive. I cannot imagine living like those women do.
Your pink box held such a lot didn't it? What a lot of goodness you have to show us today, so pretty.
I hope blogging continues, I regard it as my diary whereas Insta is just a saving mechanism for my makes (only a few make it on there).
Hugs, Neet 2 xx (thanks to Helen and 5 thanks to Jan)
That’s a whole heap of pink!! So glad you had fun with it, the card is lovely - I don’t really do Instagram so unfortunately don’t see much of your work. Hope the trip to Iowa was a good, we have to grab our opportunities and live each day!

Must look for you on insta...
Happy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!
I am determined to call and comment on all of you this week!

Hello, such a pretty post. Glad you got away for your Anniversary.
Have hated the heat here. The war in Ukraine is so sad and no end in sight.
Yes news is bad everywhere and cost of everything so scary.
I don't really do much via Instagram- can't seem to get to grips with it. Will try and find you there. Take care Anne x 13
What lovely index cards Sylvia - glad you were able to make use of all that pink collection. Sorry to hear that you have had funerals to attend. Happy belated anniversary. Trying to visit as many desks as possible before we head up to Scarborough for three nights. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #15
I no longer watch the news...read about it online each morning and then I watch about the weather. Lots of shortages here as well; all utilities costs rising and gas prices are through the roof. Thankfully I still enjoy just coming in my craft room and keeping my head down. A man asked me the other day if I had a gun and did I know how to use it. I said yes and he said good, I'm afraid you are going to need protection! I always love seeing your desk as it seems to calm me. Have a good rest of the week!
The war in Ukraine seems to go on and on, I am ashamed to admit they are not in my prayers as often as they were, family problems have taken over - no excuse and I am grateful for the reminder. I haven’t got to grips with Instagram and I don’t use Facebook that often. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12
I've had another busy morning with my fittings/sewing plus I have now finished the eye spy quilt so am taking a break to visit all my fav blogs.
Sorry to hear of your losses...live every day eh? I love your projects.
I will be MIA for a couple of weeks so will catch up with you when I return.
Hugs,

Hi Sylvia, I'm here just been a bit distracted today. Sorry because I'm sure I've used that excuse before Lol! Sorry to hear your sad news. Loving how you've used your box of goodies, well done. Wishing you a very happy and productive woyww, Angela x11x
Great use of all that pink!! Sorry to hear about your friend and cousin. Happy WOYWW Helen #1
I love all your pinky craftiness! Very pretty. So glad we have our crafts to take our minds off the state of the world! xx Jo
Oh my goodness, the contents of the pink box is even more delightful laid out. Sigh.....Adore your Rolodex cards in pink too. BJ#10
Love the Rolodex cards, and the view of the pink items reminded me of the game where you get to view the items for a couple of minutes and then cover the lot with a cloth and try to remember what was there. I don’t know why it prompted that memory! I hope you had a lovely break at the Casino, I think it’s a great idea to schedule s bit of time away before the harvest takes over. And of course, congrats on your anniversary!
Sorry to hear you've had two bereavements so close together - pretty depressing. I hope you managed to enjoy your break. Love n hugs Cindy xx
HI Sylvia
Glad you and hubby got away for a bit. Belated Happy Anniversary Wishes. Those rolodex cards are so pretty! I have a gazillion blank cards to play with and bought a set of dies to cut my own from background papers I make when I play. The world seems to be going nuts. I just keep stocking my pantry and trying to be as prepared as I can be. Hugs & Creative Blessings! ~ Kelly #18
