#776 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Welcome and I missed you last week, it was a fast one. Something everyday and I've not caught up.  The day we share our desks thru Mr. Linky at Ms. Julia's Blog

Besides computer glitches, phones changing  set up I'm behind. Mostly with getting ready for family visitors in a few weeks and then FINGERS CROSSED. Military family headed back to USA.  (hoping the mess with destructive countries it doesn't change things) XXX

I love  area on line auctions and found some real treasures. But all the magical ideas in this head of mine can't keep up. I scored LOTS of FUN things and hope to share if I can transfer ALL the Photos soon.
My desk: (the reason for the post ! )   Making some clusters from scraps on a tiny table
I ended up scrapping the t.P. rolls idea for a journal...several came apart at the folds. But I did some stitching on a few pieces ...Seems I was into 'Tiny" creations on what little time I had to have fun.
And I cut up some tattered doilies and tea dyed them. The top is crumbled paper I didn't get pressed out in time, so will re wet it and try again.
Well Mr. Hub, is off to the field, worked grown 2 days and now planting corn. Rain is predicted  WE had terrible high winds So he cleaned up the mess of broken branches and this big limb.  With the temps of 80 I want to clean our garage...so much stacked through winter and I am sorting and maybe doing an auction on the stacks I don't use. It's a 3 stall so It's a big challenge !!!   maybe photos next week.
Wishing you all the best,

Hope the planned family reunion comes off and those in the military get home safe and sound. Hats off to them, they do a sterling job.
Not a clue what area on line auctions are but glad you found lots of treasures. Look forward to seeing the photos if you can fit in the time with your busy schedule. In the meantime I love the doilies you tea dyed. I wonder if onion skins would work well to give a different shade?
I thought our weather had been bad with high winds and hail/snow but it is nothing compared to your weather. Just glad no one was injured.
Sounds like both you and hubby are very busy at the moment. Guess that is what life on a farm is all about.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx

I have made a junk journal out of toilet rolls - folding them flat, decorating the outsides and inserting tags. I connected them with a metal ring. I don't remember them coming apart. Perhaps they were covered in a thick layer of paint! I wonder what I did with it!

Sometimes we just run out of time, that's life I guess. I've made mini journals with TP rolls before, I'll have to have alook to see if I can find them as I know I still have them somewhere. Hope everything goes well for your family time. Sending woyww hugs Angela x11x

Great little clusters. I watched a YouTube the other day and the person began by making piles of little scraps. Tearing fabric, lace and paper into usable pieces. It seemed a good idea. Happy WOYWW. Angela #7

Hi Sylviaand thank you for your earlier visit - I'm behind as ever. If I don't get to WOYWW before lunch on a Weds the day seems to disappear!! I am childminding my little splodge and making the most of his nap time - he's full of beans this week, gonna be a long day! I find it's always time to tidy the desk!! It never ends and there certainly becomes a point when I can't work. I'd blame my small space but I think if I had a 100' worktop I'd still end up working in a 6" square. I have recently got into making clusters - they are very useful for using up bits you aren't really quite sure what to do with! Loving your died doilies. Hope family get back to the USA ok, though the news i s so depressing. Good luck with the grage, sounds like a big job!! Love n higs Cindyxx
