WOYWW # 371

Welcome, I want to thank all of you who left such nice comments last week on the death of Aunt Mildred.  It was a very nice day, and we were thankful for her great life. It also was a great time visiting all the family who attended. Cousins, had not seen each other for a long time.

She was 103 and this photo is of her favorite thing to Tat...I cannot imagine how many of these she made in her lifetime.  It is almost a lost art.

Not much creating on my desk, Just some colored pencils and adult coloring books. I am hoping we will have our master bath finished by the end of the week. He was able to prime/paint and get the new flooring laid..Our cabinet and fixtures were to arrive this week. Let's hope they can install so we can complete this project.  Already had leakage ruin my downstairs ceiling tile, so I am anxious.  I will share photos.

It's WOYWW Wednesday and you can find out more HERE   Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #370

Greetings fellow deskers, a really quick Wednesday upon us, here in the states. We celebrated a July 4th weekend so Monday was a holiday.  You can find info and enjoy the desk visits here: Lunch Lady Jan's, she's helping out while our hostess Julia recovers from a serious surgery.

My desk, only visited long enough to make a few sympathy cards. DH's  Aunt 103 yrs old passed Sunday. She would have been 104 on the 7th. Was still tatting at 99 and gave up her apartment to reside at the Manor.

We were again gone most of the week. Having the floor of our bathroom put in today and next week our fixtures should arrive.
Storms are headed our way this afternoon. We need rain, but not the hail, winds and destruction caused last night near by counties. Have beets, green beans, cucumbers to clean. Made zucchini pancakes for breakfast and they were so delicious. So looks like my day is all planned out.  I'll be around to visit during my breaks !!  I need coffee you know.

Enjoy a lovely week

Greetings !  It's a lovely day in Iowa, this is the 2nd time I have created this post, somehow it wasn't saved to post.  This is short and sweet today. We are in the process of removing the bathroom fixtures. Preparing to prime, paint and put in a new floor.

My desk:

This is one of many baskets, I need to sort thru and organize or dispose of contents. My storage room is 1/2 empty,  I've only Fall and Christmas containers and a few cabinets with items..The rest is DH and he needs to get with the program.  !!

Have a wonderful week, Enjoy WOYWW and thanks to Jan for hosting on her blog: Lunch Lady Jan's Fabric Frenzy you can tour and enjoy.

WOYWW #368

It's the very wee hours of the AM here, but I could not sleep.  We have been gone and I've a lot of catching up do to on the home front.  My desk is ok clean, made a 50th card for our fun visit to Wisconsin to see a FAMILY of friends. Just a wonderful fun time.

I am sharing this to partake in our weekly WOYWW....thanks to Jan for hosting:  HERE for more info:

My desk has a few things left from the Anniversary card  and  a quick Father's Day card, thanking my DH for being such an inspiration and friend to my 2 sons and family.

No doubt won't be seeing this area for awhile, DH has decided after a year (since we put in the new shower) it's time to finish the project in the master bathroom ......................... I'll be quiet and
nice......................we picked out the new flooring, cabinet, sink, counter top, paint, 2/3 wks before delivery and installation. But we now must remove those items and start the paint process and the floor.  Pray that I have patience.  It is an unknown zone for him and he wants to help.

When I logged on to my blog I got this message:  This page contains HTTP resources which may cause mixed content affecting security and user experience if blog is viewed over HTTPS.

Thanks for all the comments last week, I hope to visit as many or more this week also. Have a great week.

WOYWW #367

Good Morning all my favorite deskers!  Today is a scheduled post for WOYWW  as I am meeting with several classmates for our yearly luncheon.  You can partake at Lunch Lady Jan's  who is helping out while our true hostess is recovering from surgery.

We were at my sons this past weekend, to see the grands play baseball/softball.  High temps and storms. So I got lots of sun. Remember I mentioned working out...well not much of that. I was able to walk a lot so thought I'd work on machines for my upper body.  Well the old bones in my neck/shoulder are now on ice as I've evidently got a pinched nerve, pulled muscle, or bursitis. Could be all of the above.   Also aggravated by carrying a big heavy purse while we were gone.  I just never learn.  Can bearly move my left arm.

Here are a few photos of my almost finished table, in use until fall, (will give another coat, as humidity and flies are hindering my finishing)

My desk, getting ready to make a few 50th Anniversary cards, we travel this week to Wisconsin for a friends 50th.

And our mail just arrived and I have an adorable ATC from Scrapbook Lynne
and some fun stamped papers.  Thanks Lynne.

Well it's up and at 'em for our reminiscing..52 years 8/10 of us will be together,  have been thru a lot starting in 1st grade. Thanks for stopping by, I'll play catch up visiting in a day or so.

Friday Smiles

Oh I've missed Friday's Smiles for quite sometime. Annie at A Stitch in Time hosts the happy day.

I just received some photos of my 3 grand girls in Virginia:  I smiled a lot and shed a tear, I miss them and the fun we could be having if we lived closer. My son tries to keep them busy outside and this seems to offer a lot of entertainment.

Savannah

Summer

Sky

Sky the oldest is always excited....always there to help, Summer a little more shy, and Savannah can speak her on mind !

Thanks Annie for the fun     All have a great weekend...Iowa is in for temps in the 98 to 100 so it's inside time or water events.

WOYWW #366

It's Wednesday the day we share our Workspaces:  our special hostess LL Jan is hosting on her blog:
Lunch Lady Jan's Fabric Frenzy, while our lovely Julia is recovering from some serious surgery.

I've been MIA, weather turned nice and DH and I have been gone 2/3 days a week doing fun things
I have received some lovely ATC's

From top Left Marit, Lisa, bottom Left Annie (Wipso), Jo (Twiglet)
This one came today from Sandra de.   Thank You all so much, I love the variety and love that you have shared with me.

These are the ATC's  that I have created and sent out.  I forgot to take one photo of one that went to Scrapbook Lynne.

I've not been at my desk in a long time, I have been working on a very OLD table to put in my crafty space and finally have it in place but no photo of the final as of this moment.  Here is the before

I've a busy schedule today, my DH has hay down and needs me to help with rides back and forth, will be around eventually.  I also have joined a Fitness Group and trying to make 3x a week. Our weather hasn't been that great for outside walking so made the move to commit to lose some weight inside. And today's the day for that.  Plus I hope to make twice a week to Aquatics now that the pool has opened up for summer fun.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy a lovely day.

WOYWW #364 Anniversary Time

Welcome,  it's the 7th Anniversary and another yearly ATC exchange with the wonderful friends who keep up with Julia's blog. We are signing in at  Lunch Lady Jan's Fabric Frenzy blogspot and wishing Julia all the very best with her medical issues.

This is a scheduled post, I'll try to connect this by my phone or it will be late Wednesday PM, as I want to partake in the exchange.  Have to share the ATC's next week.

I don't have a desk to share a photo of this week, we are on a bus tour for my DH birthday.  But nothing's changed. I packed up remaining Garage sale items, delivered most all of it to a donation shop for the handicap childrens shop.  Tired, worn out and ended up with sinus as it was windy, cool and damp. We both had good sales...DH making more than me, as he sold a LOT of his metal flowers.

I had to make some cards as I have had several May birthdays and still have more this week.

My brothers Olivia turned 9   A true farm girl and animal lover.
Our neighbor 85th ...and 85 candles
My brother in law was 65
My grand daughter will be 11 the 26th   A lover of Unicorns
Loved how the inside turned out.
And my DH a lover of the John Deere's   big or small

Thanks for visiting....Can't wait to see all the fun creations.

WOYWW #363

Happy WOYWW ....so happy to be back. We are linking up with LLJ (Jan) at   Lunch Lady Jans Fabric Frenzy    for the next two weeks as our main host is dealing with medical issues. Wishing Julia the very best. It's a lot of stress awaiting surgery. So keep her in your prayers.

My crafty space is full of my ATC's for our swap next week. Almost finished and ready to mail. But I have been at this table seems way too long. Getting ready for a garage sale that will be held tomorrow and Friday. Weather is to be nice. Glad when it is over.  Hope things sell and Money in the bank.
A  little row of wooden items

The hardest part, the pricing table !   My DH has a horse trailer. They are easy to load and hold a lot.
Have lots of rubber maids filled and Lots of boxes. So will start that later today, I am displaying my wares at the City Park Pavilion. Most folks don't drive to the country and just felt I'd have better sales in town. Will try it this year to see how it works. Will try for photos.
Have a wonderful week, thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW #361

Good Morning, it is the wee hours of early AM here. I've been extra busy getting ready for a garage sale and sorting thru a massive mess.  Weather has finally turned nice so I was able to go through containers in our garage also.  I am taking a space at our City Park shelter house, as not that many come out to the country. Today I must quit lifting and doing steps, so will price things. This body is getting old.

Sharing my desk so I can be involved in Julia's world wide visits. She has all the info on her blog the
Stamping Ground  and also info on our yearly anniversary ATC exchange.  My desk portrays the cover up of what I am making for that. If you are interested in exchanging please leave a note in the comment section today.

The floor in his area is a dumping ground for the insight of mixed media projects to come !!!!!!! But my camera batteries literally died on me and not sure if  I am up to such embarrassment.

Have a wonderful week.  Thanks for visiting and all the great comments last week.

WOYWW #360

Hello fellow deskers:  Today Julia at the STAMPING GROUND hosts our WOYWW  visits.
Want to join in the fun, just head over and she has posted the info and deskers involved.

My work area is a total mess.  We have been gone most of the week. On fun little jaunts. The best was "Junk Bonanza" in Mpls. Mn.  With the rainy weather my hubby had time and offered to go with me to the HUGE event.  It's about 2 1/2 hrs North to the cities.  We had a super fun time. I think Tim Holtz posted a grouping of photos of the event on his blog here  Tim Holtz Blog They kind of restrict the public from cameras. We spent about 3 1/2 hrs visiting all the displays. He loved all the ideas.

I purchased 2 of these from a fabric store going out of business while visiting my son and just got them unpacked.  Haven't had time to figure out where I will put these for storing items as of now.
They held "fat quarters" at the fabric shop. Maybe can work on that in a few minutes.

We are hoping weather predictions of being on the edge of severe storms remains true. So many states south and east are having hail, high winds, heavy rain and tornadoes. Most have lost electricity.  So we will not be going out for the next 2 days.

Thanks for stopping by, I will make my rounds today, Just wasn't available last week. I scheduled my post and  spent very little time on my home computer.  Truly loved your comments.

Have a great week.

#359 WOYWW

Special Greetings to You....I'm back, hadn't planned on being gone so long.  But grandchildren had sports events and a half day off school, so I went to visit.  Hubby was in the field at home so did not need me to transport him here and there. Something special about time with grand kids ! Plus I got two mornings of shopping in the city and had fun with their nice weather.

Here it is warm 75 or so, but the terrible winds have been around for more than 10 days and you cannot be outside too long. Dust, dirt and grit. And branches or twigs everyday to pick up.

I've also spent sometime sorting and either getting ready for a garage sale in May or just taking it to a donation place.  I have had to make several cards, have lots of birthdays, a wedding and 2 retirement parties.
I am in love with this little stitching book.  Cover is on the desk Crazy Quilt Stitches. Only 50 cents at a thrift shop.
The makings of a Wedding card.
 Inside view
Outside Cover of the Wedding Card

My daughter in law shares her birthday with her 8 year old son
This Ninja like paper doll has movable arms and legs and held some money within the card
 Ninja is his theme
He was happy with the inside, as these characters are his favorite.

So that about does it for today. Hoping I can post a few of the other cards later this week,
Julia at the STAMPING GROUND has all the info if you want to partake, either viewing others desk and sharing yours if you like.

Thanks for the visit and any comments you make. I always love reading them. Have a fantastic week.
