#700 WOW at WOYWW

Welcome, on what is to be another 70' degree day on this a grand
700 hundred WOYWW post.(What's on your workspace Wednesday) with dear friends sharing because of Ms. Julia over at the
STAMPING GROUND BLOG.   My first post was Jan 19th 2011 WOYWW #85 and have enjoyed all the fun since so much.
Very disgusted, as I had 2 images to share on this 700th and my blog won't let me post either of them.

I have so much enjoyed all of you over all these years.

My Desk"

Making some October birthday cards, I couldn't share sooner. The 2 colors I chose didn't work well with the images so used the brown below.

                                                       Front

Back. I've made some long ago and like them as you can display the fall images if you chose.

Things are slowing down at the Farm, most of the tillage (working up fields back to dirt) is finished, except a few acres to let the cattle roam. Cleaning up equipment, checking parts, tires etc  and making space in the Morton buildings to store all of it. Quite the process of making it all fit inside.
Hoping to get my crafty space organized to gather Christmas papers, etc .I will leave up fall decor until after Thanksgiving and then put out Christmas. Eliminating what I didn't use, downsizing. On the agenda today is washing windows, while temps are warm and taking a walk to enjoy a grand day !

Thanks for the visits/comments. Enjoy a great week and Thanks for the fun of sharing your time.

WOYWW #699

Welcome, and for most it's good afternoon !  It's 6.30 AM here and I just can't get energized. Hubby is still sleeping, very unusual, but he was wore out last night. Lots of field hours trying to get chemicals on his fields and then he'll be done before the weather changes.

My desk:
The 3 stamp sets were a steal at the Thrift shop Price $22.00 Sold at $5.00 Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley.  Noticing much higher prices now than even the $22...my retired budget doesn't go that far.
I also got several almost no use, Graphic Design paper pads, will share next week.
My desk for 3 wks or so has had those tiny pink papers, and the graph paper accordion style, I 've wanted to my TINY journals out of, but time and theme presented an issue.  So they wait!  The large sheet is a collage of  a Beverage theme, for one of the groups I partake in. I am not a Whiskey fan, but that Coffee Whiskey Brew sounds really good.

I washed sheets and they are hard for me to fold with this shoulder so was waiting for help at lunch time. But Bailey decided they were still warm and he was taking advantage of that.  It's been COLD here nights 30's and daytime 40's.
I shared this on FB the really warm day we had 70's and I took a walk. Our cattle enjoying Sunshine and new fields to explore since corn is removed.

Julia has her weekly WOYWW post HERE as it's the day we share our desks.

Have a great week, thanks for all the good comments.

#698 @ WOYWW

Welcome, so glad you stopped by, it's the day of sharing the workspaces
Ms. Julia HERE has all the info if you need to play along or visit others all over the world sometimes.

Busy week, hubby finished his harvest.~! Will now work ground, chopping stocks and making the fields back to black dirt for spring next year.

Our weather temps were so cold, that records were broken, Have made good use of the oven, to keep temps in our home a little warmer. A chocolate cake, baked squash for the frezzer, bean soup, beef noodle soup, and some blue berry/zucchini pancakes for the freezer.

I really tidied up my 2 desks, made a few Rolodex cards and  one Playing card for this weeks fun. Bright colors, animal, washi tape, sentiment.
Our little squirrels are really busy with walnuts. The ground is FULL of them.
Renovated bar for Rolodex fun, different sizes and 1 each day Next week will be into Halloween fun.

these 2,  6 ft tables are next to each other, gives me a large space to spread out.
Want to start Collage Glue book, funny thing I can do well on small area, but to do collage on large doesn't work so well. ?? So a challenge to change that.
After measuring and remeasuring the curtain fabric is not enough, so on to plan ???2  Turned on the furnace...19 tonight's temps and oven heat is gone.

Have a wonderful week, thanks for your visits and comments last week
Stay safe and continued prayers for Ukraine, it's something that really upsets me.

WOYWW #697

Good Morning, and it is morning here 3:15, a m   great way to start the day, it is RAINING. Nice quiet rain fall and I am hoping it continues most of the day. Maybe the burn ban can be lifted.

It's the day we share our workspace and HERE is where our hostess Ms Julia will welcome you.

Hubby is sound asleep, but will be up early to haul 2 wagon loads of corn to the elevator and continue his corn picking near town about 1/2 of 300 acres completed.

I took a quick photo of the Bar I have been working at. We no longer use what use to be a family room downstairs, so it stores and I make all of my ATC's and 'tiny art' here.
I try to make 1 to 3 cards a day then I can post daily and have 2 days to kind of keep up with "life"  and now that the garden is done, I can start with the curtains.  (I usually share the ATC's on FB/Instagram) and The Collage Art Collective sight HERE  If you are into COLLAGE work, Margarete Miller is administrator and has lots of beautiful daily posts by many. Check it out

Hope all is well your way, thanks to all who were able to visit and leave comments. With the rain we might get to go the City !!!  Have a wonderful week

WOYWW # 696

Happy Wednesday,  the day we try to show our workspace. All info will be
HERE  Posting Tuesday night, as I don't know where I'll be in the early morning.

Missed last week, just too much going on here at the farm. Hubby just finished up his bean fields, Had a set back   " a field fire".  Fortunately he had a fire extinguisher to save his equipment/ but with the wind he dialed 911 and volunteer firemen were here to put out the burning bean field. About 3 to 4  acres lost  One guy borrowed the neighbors tractor and digger and made a black dirt track near fence and around the fire (to prevent the spread)  or it would be in our yard or in the corn field.
Angels were helping. We were so thankful for the Volunteer EMS/Firefighters our little town provides. No photos, too quick to react

He found the issue with the start of the fire yesterday/the combine needed new bearings, when they went bad and with stocks moving thru it ignited.

My workspace is over stacked: I only have about a 6 inch free space to use

The other three table have things I can't show as yet.  So been working on Rolodex cards and a tiny book. Will do a video when things calm down

These were made for "the Collage Art Collective" group which I follow

I stopped at a thrift store, while running errands and found these "OLD" books.  Just love them

You all have a great week, Rain is forecast with 30 degree temps so will have to cover flowers/tomatoes/squash and WELCOME the rain. Northern Iowa has a burn ban in effect, so very dry. And farmers need a break, it's the only thing that stops them. HAPPY FALL.  Dark here at 7pm way to early for that change.

WOYWW #694

Welcome to our Wednesday sharing of the desks.  It's all HERE to see more.
I've a TOTAL mess with the crafting area, which is going to be cut in 1/2 also. Way to many projects, started and not finished.

Wanting time for working with gel press, Love the variety it can do for papers.

I want to make some WINTER curtains as I found some great fabric to keep out the drafts.
Jan or anyone with quick tips for the top/hanging  I'd love ideas.  I now have ring hooks on a rod that have a clip to attach to the curtain. I like to have lots of light in daytime so will have to be drawn off to a side in daytime.

What a last week, 2 of us doing SPRING cleaning. We were gone Tuesday/Wednesday  bought a carpet shampooer. Small home so moved things to 1/2 room/let dry and moved it back to finish up. (he did all the work with the new machine and helped with ALL of this.  We also found 2 new recliners available, (most have a 3 month to 1 year delivery date) but we brought one home and will pick the other up Friday.

Working with tomatoes, making juice and roasted for the freezer. I will do windows when he goes to the field which could be next week and work on clothes closets/drawers.

I decorated for Fall/Halloween, sorted thru totes, had items ready to sell and she backed out. Trying to 1/2 all the holiday decor.  And now our hi way system  and blacktop roads in this area are being torn up/resurfacing has started so it's a mess out and about with one lane traffic a lead car or stop lights/ detours/big equipment etc.
Grapevine tree, I've had for a long time. I like the little lights in the evening.
My laundry room, a collection of Raggedy Ann's / crocheted pot holders again I like the little lights. From kitchen, a narrow space with pantry/washer/dryer leads to family room.

Wishing you all the best.  I did spend time watching the events with Queen Elizabeth. What a remarkable lady.

WOYWW #692

Welcome to our sharing the desk day. It all starts HERE

Wow, so much going on over the 3 day weekend. 1st I've been home for over 3 hours and I'm lacking sleep.

My creativity since last week's post
A little round patio table I can't keep outdoors (winds), It's in the best light I have downstairs to help me create a fabric journal.  To the left are 2 signatures (glue drying(
This is a table behind my desk for big shot/paper cutter. I cut out 'blue' rolodex cards for the challenge this month.  I sometimes post the finished ones on Instagram.  I really do love all the great creations there.
And this is a display of "old treasures"  the hanger ends fold up, and the 2 black envelopes hold the wrapped around lace. All are very old. It's for a vintage post.

We have had some awesome weather, early morning it's humid/foggy, but mid 70's all day and fun to be outdoors. Thanks to all who left comments last week. Hope to make more rounds this week  Be Safe and Enjoy

It's #691

Good Morning, it's 2 a.m. here once again, too warm to sleep, the air hasn't kicked in as the ceiling fan is running near the thermostat. My only diagnosis so early in the day. Not liking this habit of 2 a m. except on Wednesday !!

I took a before and after photo of my desk: (it's the day Ms Julia hosts our gathering.)  here's before, and  here I'm upset with yet another T.H. 3D embossing folder and I read the next step in using it Again.  Image is not deep to even use.

after I unpacked my Hobby Lobby bag !  It was all on close out except 3/4 items. I spent most of the day in our 40 mile away city, just for me. Had a great Taco John's, grilled stuffed taco, never minding the increase in $$$, will it ever end?
I was excited about the big buttons, I've a couple projects planned, someday I'll share !   Even have dying plans for the crumbled paper.

Hope all is great your way, our weather has been so nice here, and fall is on it's way. Garden is pretty much done and hopefully all repairs are finished for my hubby to be ready for field work in a few more weeks.

Oh Bailey is up also, was in his hideaway but quickly jumped on top of "His favorite place to observe"
Thanks for your visits last week, I'll try to do better this week. Kids here went back to school last week and sporting events start this Friday. Along with College football this weekend, one of my favorite sports. ENJOY

WOYWW #690

Welcome, it' been a whirlwind. But today is the day we share our desks, MS Julia HERE has all the details if you are new to this group. But I'll warn you it is addicting.
Two weeks ago, I shared the little white wood basket with pink items, here's a close up of those fun things inside.
Here's my desk
wanted to work with stencils and backgrounds but was called away.

These were last weeks projects finally completed. Rolodex cards with Pink theme. I share on Instagram mostly, it seems quicker and easier than the blog.

I hope you are all doing well.  We are,  spent our 17th Wedding Anniversary on a little trip to the far Western corner of Iowa to visit a new Casino.  We needed a break, kids were on vacation and hubby will soon be in the field.  We've had a funeral last week of a friend (67) and word that a 2nd cousin (40) died of a heart attack that funeral is this week. Kind of why I've scheduled this post.

Weather has settled down a bit, still humid, but our air conditioning takes care of that. Just a lot of bad hair days !!! when outdoors.   Just know also that I continue to pray for Ukraine and all of Europe, the news never seems too great.  Oil/Gas, big bucks $$   food $$ $/shortages of common items here.

WOYWW #688

Welcome: It's the day we share what's on our desks. I've linked up with Ms. Julia @ Stamping Ground our hostess.  Join in if you like.

Well it's been busy around here. Trying to organize more 'stuff'  here are
2 sweet things I found hiding under my table of sewing machines.
A little wooden sewing box I filled sometime ago to do a Pink Project, and now I don't even know what it was.
And the jar of beautiful colored threads/string.  I have already used a couple of colors on some tags I was making.
The inside divider from liquor bottles, sitting for free at our grocery store. I am making tags from it. A project for muscle cutting. The edges are really uneven, but patience won.

A doodled flower and prompts from a challenge on Instagram, really found some inspiring things there.
We were so thankful for a 3.5 inch rainfall Sat/Sun. Things are really greening up and  flowering out. Cooled down somewhat so has been nice with no wind to open the windows.
I hope you are all doing well, and enjoying all the things you love. Hoping to see the grandkids soon, school will be starting up about the 23rd. Summer came and went quickly. But I love fall weather so I'm ready.
