Julia has had this event of over 5 years and you can find out all about sharing, peeking, and pick up a friend or two on the way. Just visit her blog STAMPING GROUND It's a fun adventure.
I've been spending time in my work area...grouped all Christmas together in an old chest, close by, found the Valentine container, so sorted it out to see what I have to work with. Hope to get some done later in the week. I've a few birthdays to do ahead also.
I plan to put away Christmas through the rest of the house tomorrow. I wanted to start today, but got waylaid in sorting out some photos. When I walked in the storage area, I walked out and said not today...too much work for this old body today. Hoping my attitude is better in the AM.
If anyone has any ideas on sorting photos...I'm looking for suggestions. I started with families, then by their children, putting in zip lock bags and storing in under the bed rubbermaid. Some families my sons don't know will be returned to those families to pass on I guess. Cleaned out one small closet and have FRAMES and more FRAMED Old photos. Think the frames will go and the photos by family. Gives me 2 free shelves for something else. Some of this mess is from my folks collection.
Have a wonderful week, hope to get to visit quite a few this week. Thanks for stopping by.

Sorting photos is a hard one, I had them by families, then by theme and gave up, goodluck with your sorting

If it makes you feel any better, all my Christmas stuff is still up too! It looks pretty and we were late getting it up, so....it's still up. I can't quite face it just yet, lol! Good luck with your photo sorting and Valentine making!

I think your strategy of sorting by family is a good idea. I am sure the cupboard can wait for another day. I am impressed you are planning Valentine's day. Too soon!!

Like the half made rosette - I need to try one of those.
I eagerly read your comments for tips on storing photos, alas no one seems to know the best way! I wonder if there even is a 'best' way...
Happy Wednesday,

Great plan getting started on Valentines Day :) Happy WOYWW Shel#56
I really need to sort out my photos too before we move. I will throw away my duplicates but would love a great idea for keeping the rest nicely.
For years, I stored all my photos by date, but I'm a single person who used to take lots of trips. I don't think that works for families. Now I'm sure the photos are all ruined because they were stored in my wet basement.
I put my Christmas things away even before the new year. I got tired of Christmas early. But I sure like that you are starting your Valentine cards. I think the cleaning and sorting bug has hit a bunch of us this year.
Sorry I forgot to leave my number, which is 2 this week.
Seems you've accomplished quite a lot lately, even if the Christmas decor has to wait another day to be put away. I have oodles of photos to sort and do something with, too. I think I'll sort them first by decade into folders. Then I'll take each decade of photos and identify the exact year, if I can, and the people in them (again, if I can). Then I'll figure out if I want to scan them and make one of those online photo books or scrap them. We'll see.
Printed photos are so hard to sort , I only print when I'm ready to use, but that doesn't solve the older pic problem . Good luck with that task. 78
Hi Sylvia
You have everything so organized there in front of you to work at your desk! I too have to have things in front of me so that I don't forget that I have them!
Photo storage is a hard one but for me everything is on the computer, hard drive and memory card under categories of family, friends, Etsy and my specific creations and boy there are so many. I would never have the time to store the actual photos anymore though once I had them all in photo albums.
Good luck with this one!
Have a great week organizing!
Suzy
