Welcome to our fun Wednesday snoop. Visiting other blogs to see new ideas, offer support, and keep in contact after so many years. Julia at the STAMPING GROUND is our hostess and has all the info if you want to partake.
Thursday is Thanksgiving Day here in the states so will have a visit to Mothers, maybe a meal with her. We all will be attending my nieces 40th birthday party Saturday, so I've been last minute making a special card that I will share next week.
My desk has been busy..making Vintage Christmas tags to sell at a local shop. Here they are assembled and have yet to reassemble, glue together and make hangers. bag and price. I never know what to charge. I've wanted to set up an Etsy shop but make no headway on that as I keep thinking mailing out the items is NOT an easy job in my rural area. So I hesitate.
On the other work space I started creating a small journal. Watching videos etc trying to find out which steps are first. Seems like a lot of details before you bind it together.
When bringing out Christmas supplies I came across a few items I forgot I had. So now I am
taking a large wallpaper sample book apart. Thought I could salvage some tags, paper, flowers and borders at some point. Then decided it will be a project I keep for taking to mom's on a last minute notice of needing to spend time with her. It's to small a place to just sit, like to have hand sewing etc to occupy my time there. When I go to visit weekly we go for a ride, visit other residents, walk and maybe I work on her nails, eyebrows or tidy up the apt.
Thanks to all who left comments last week. I so enjoy them. Have a wonderful week and

Oh bless you , what a lot of sadness around for so many at this time of year. It always seems worse at Christmas doesn’t it?
I live your wallpaper book and am sure some lovely crafting will result.
Hugs,

You've not had it very good lately, but keeping yourself busy helps I suppose.
Love the wallpaper book - lots of ideas flowing there I bet.
Have a good week

It's beginning to look like Christmas! Your tags are going to be lovely and I hope you sell a bunch! Happy Thanksgiving to you dear friend!
Hi Sylvia, so many lovely things to look at on your desk this week. It's sad when we need so many sympathy cards, I agree. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 XxX
WOW what a lovely festive desk, not sure I'll be doing that much this year, thanks for visiting BJ#9
My family's recently lost 3 good guys, too, 1 to cancer. I never knew how challenging making sympathy cards could be till this month. Bless you and stay warm.

Hi Sylvia, I find things I forgot I had every time I'm looking for something else! I hope Thursday is a good day for you and the party goes well. Happy creative woyww, Angela x10x
oh my what a time you've had... I find things I've forgotten too, every now and then... most of them go unfound!! Your wallpaper book looks very useful! Helen #2
Oooo want to see the journal when it's done. Yes Christmas is always a hard time for families with relatives that have passed. Have a good week.

Your desk is an absolute feast, Sylvia, with all the beautiful die cuts and vintage tags - I hope they have gone some way to cheer you at such a dreadful time with so much bereavement. I really feel for these families and it brings it home yet again just how blessed I have been to have such a positive outcome from my own cancer. You never look at life quite the same again... I have lost dear friends through this dreadful disease.
Thank you for your sweet comment - I am very blessed with my gorgeous studio but it needs a good clear out as I've got far too much stuff and it's getting hard to move! Our kitties are cute, aren't they! Everyone at the vet's loves them, and they behave so well there - this afternoon Lily purred all the time the vet was looking at her! They are in their little suits for another week and Lily is now on some stuff to calm her tummy till she finishes her antibiotics, so I hope she feels more herself again soon. Glad you like my infusions and knitting - I made good headway on the second pair of socks this p.m. - nice bright colours!
Happy WOYWW,

Happy WOYWW and Thanksgiving. You have certainly been busy. I look forward to seeing the journal when it is finished. I have got a good pile of journals that I made last year, and I am now slowly filling them up. So satisfying to make your own. Ali x #3
The difficult part of growing older is losing friends and relatives far too soon. It's nice that you get to spend time with your mom each week. I'm sure she enjoys your visits very much. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
So sad to loose friends and not so old ones as well. Love the collection of vintage goodies on your desk. Stay warm

So sorry to hear about your friends - and so young as well.
You have been busy, like the tags you have been making - good luck if you ever get around to the Etsy shop.
Hugs and Thanks for visiting me, Neet xx
ps looking forward to seeing THE card next week. xx
Hello Sylvia, I hope you are having a Happy Thanksgiving weekend. I am sorry to hear of all your losses. Love the vintage things on your desk!
Sorry to hear the news, never easy regardless of age.
I hope you had a good thanksgiving though and thanks for visiting my desk already

Beautiful tags--hope you sold them all! I wish there was a shop here where I could sell things rather than so much piling up here--haha!
