Sorry but I've no desk to share, due to the length of getting photos on here. And we are leaving by 10 am.  We were gone most of the day yesterday or I could have scheduled a post.

Most every town in Iowa will have somewhat the same things, most people wearing Red, White, & Blue
When I grew up it was Family gatherings, lots of photos, picnics at the lake for the farm and fireworks in our back yard.  Now with everyone scattered all over the country, most of the family gatherings are not happening. photos are digital on cameras, and fireworks is regulated by the state, and or towns for safety reasons. Not many memories to be made.

A deer in one of his fields
 Water still an issue

South of us this past Saturday towns were hit with 7 to 10 inches of rain, flash floods, one man killed and cars washed away, and many totaled out from deep water. Home basements filled with water. Most of this is not covered by insurance so many will have to apply and use disaster funds.  Now mosquito's are abundant.
Hubby and I went to Clear Lake one day after shopping in the nearby town, we toured the City Gardens, such a beautiful place, a small stream and volunteers do so much to keep it beautiful
Over load of photos

Would be fun to live in the condo's in the background.

Above is a picnic table with a built in planter full of succulents.

Have had some fun days away, it helps my DH to get away from the mess we have in the fields.
Have a wonderful week, enjoy WOYWW,   I  hope to visit most later today I'll be back home.

Sounds like you have a very busy schedule today. You will be running, if nothing more than to find some cool place to land. I know those are MY temps, too.

I've been reading about the floods and seeing the disasters on TV. The mosquitoes are a problem here and we've been dry as a bone for days. Happy 4th and Happy WOYWW from #1.

It's so sad to hear when freak weather effects our world especially when loss of life occurs. Unfortunately it seems to happen regularly now, I hope those families effected can get together and have a belated celebration of 4th July at a later date.
Those City Gardens are truly beautiful how lovely to take time out to visit. I bet those Condo's are fabulous inside.
Wishing you well, take Care & Stay Safe Tracey #5
