Happy middle of the week. It's link up time with Ms. Julia for our sharing of the workspaces RIGHT HERE
AND I have a desk to share ! It's cleared off and ready to have some fun.
I cleaned out 3 file drawers of papers, mostly of notes, ideas, samples, made space for some of the clutter on the floor, some saved cardboard and seasonal papers.
We had a quiet Christmas, but had great Skype with son and family visiting in Rome as they spent 5 days touring the area. I watched the Pope's live youtube Christmas mass and the blessing outdoors they weren't too far from the camera's but didn't get to see them. Lots of umbrella's, it was raining.
New Year's Eve will be somewhat the same here. In fact weather will keep most of us at home. Snow/Ice/Wind predicted. So wishing all of you and yours the very best for the
New Year.

Glad you managed to get some desk time Sylvia - it's looking very ready for a new year of crafting. How wonderful for your son and family to be at Christmas Mass in St Peter's Square. I have never been to Rome although we were blessed enough to attend one of the masses with Pope Benedict (along with thousands of others) when he came to the UK some time back. Hope 2022 is a better year all round for everyone. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
I've not spent my free time (yet) doing anything useful like sorting and clearing... what's new there!! How wonderful for your son to be at Mass in Rome. Have a very happy, healthy New Year. Helen #1
Gosh Sylvia, Christmas Day in the Vatican City is a lifetime ambition for so many, it must have been marvellous, what an atmosphere. It’s the one thing about travelling Europe, unless it’s mid summer, the weather is always going to be unpredictable, so you just have to do it anyway.
I’m taking a leaf from your book today and have allocated time to clearing the workroom so that I can get my fingers inky and do something that isn’t house or cooking related! Your desk is primed for action and I’m a bit green eyed about it!
We’ll be doing the same for New Year’s Eve, as we usually do……a nice supper and bed at the usual time! Doesn’t mean anything, and doesn’t prevent me wishing the very best for next year, with love. Xx
Your desk is looking primed an ready for action! Well done on the paper sorting as well, bet everything feels better now! How amazing that your son was in Rome on Christmas Day, an amazing experience!
Happy New Year to you and the family

Hi Sylvia, great job on clearing out (I need to do that), and having your desk ready to craft! I do a Skype call with my sister in Canada every Christmas, almost 3 hours this time - goodness knows what we have to talk about for that long! We have our grandsons coming to stay for the weekend, so New Year's Eve will be a little noisier than normal for us! Hope you have a good one, take care, Heather xx #10
Happy WOYWW. Great to get some sorting out. I will be doing some more in my craft room. There is still some stash that needs a new home and some redundant furniture to get moved out. Glad to read in an earlier post that you didn't suffer with too much storm damage. We mostly survived too. Hope that the forecast snow/ice/wind doesn't last for too long. Mild and dry here, but lots of mud! Happy New Year. Ali x #5
Sorting and hopefully selling some craft items are on my agenda. I think our NYE will also be quiet which is fine.Happy New Year to you.

How wonderful for your son and family - the Christmas Day message in person! I never managed to visit Rome although I did give it a wave as we passed by once . . . Peter was international truck driver and spent many years travelling Europe . . .
Enjoy your desk, mess it up soon! lol
Happy New Year to you and yours

Your desk is looking ready for some serious crafting in the new year. How lovely for your son and his family to be in Rome for Christmas.
I've been to many parts of Italy, but never Rome; I'd love to go there.
Take care; wishing you and yours a happy new year

Rome on Christmas Day - now that is the place to be. How exciting. Does your son live in America?
I am impressed that you cleared 3 file drawers of papers, I sorted my papers at the caravan today but nowhere near as much as you did.
Our NY Eve will be quiet, the two of us, will we stay awake until midnight - doubt it.
Have a good one Sylvia

Hi Sylvia, sounds cold where you are, not so co;d here but very wet. I have done nothing today as I'm resting after being busy trying to make something of Christmas for my mum (93). It went okay but I'm feeling a bit worn out now. This is my excuse though I do have lots that need sorting and tidying, maybe another day. Happy crafty woyww and hoping for a better New year. Hugs, Angela x9x
Technology is wonderful isn't it, we are so fortunate in these times to be able to connect as we do. Happy New Year BJ#17
How wonderful to Skype with family! We got a few minutes with one of our sons and grandson and phone calls otherwise. And our Christmas was quiet. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished at your desk!
Happy New Year!

A lovely adventure for your son. Thank goodness some folk are able to get out and about. Our friends even managed to get their family home from Australia! Nothing so adventurous here. We are having a quiet day today - not that we have done much other than entertain Ben for 2 days which was fun. I might even be tempted into my sewing room but it really needs a good post Xmas sort up and I'm just not in the mood. Back to my jigsaw - Shropshire Hills! Happy New Year. xxx Jo
Hi Sylvia, thanks for stopping by! Wouldn't it have been great to spot your family on camera in Rome! The weather's very mild around here but damp - it's gonna get much colder in the new year they say. Wishing you a very happy 2022! xx zsuzsa #21
