WOYWW #578

Good Morning !~ It is 3:15 AM our time, woke up at 2AM and thought of all of you. IT's WOYWW, Julia hosting on her blog HERE,  Nothing has been working in the way of electronics here,  I had to create new passwords, posted comments on a few of your blogs and I don't think they were accepted.   So if you get two, I cannot see the first.  I couldn't work with any of my photos either  so will try again .
 Even my phone is wacko.

My desk

Piano rolls from an online auction.. I only wanted 1 or 2rolls but my bids weren't quick enough ....then I ended up with a box of several.  Will use a few for journal papers.

Then resorted to cutting flowers and making some masterboards, which I must not have taken photos of, or they are lost in the Cloud Photo files !!!  Heaven help me.

Our previous week was full of families visiting, paper work, and visiting the cemetery a few times to water moms fresh flowers, and the 2 of us taking drives on roads in the country near some rivers. Just to readjust our minds I guess.  Camp grounds were filling up with the July 4th holiday so near. Very hot and humid here. And we have smoke from Africa !! NOW how that's possible ?and never in my lifetime happened before amazes me.

Most events are cancelled, but food to go so organizations can make some money and survive.  Our state has opened up most things with social distancing and your choice to wear or not a mask of your choosing. I even made a few and better stitching than the one I bought from a well known fabric store. ! !

Thank you all so much for your comments 2 weeks ago. I am hoping to get to some normalcy soon.

I was reading about the smoke and dust from the Sahara blown across the Atlantic but it's amazing that it's reached you too. We are living in weird times and you've had a lot to deal with recently, be kind to yourself. I am so pleased that you rescued the piano rolls and using them in crafting is inspired.

I always look forward to your posts and the photos of your space. It seems since I went back on the Heartfelt Creations team I can't do two posts on Wednesday. I keep forgetting to do WOYWW so I guess I'm useless. Our world has definitely changed with this pandemic and the crazy weather patterns. I'm still staying to myself mostly but I'm used to it. Stay well my friend!

Morning Sylvia. What a week you have had! Hope all the technology starts to work properly again. We all rely on it so much - especially at the moment! It's the only way I have of contacting my family...
Take care of yourself. God bless.

Who would think that the sand could be blown so far. I've heard about it before and believe it can be quite thick. I like the look of those piano rolls, very useful and the flowers are lovely. Yes the car is a rock/pebble. It was interesting what you said about your boy friend's MG as the one I have is actually worth more now than when it was new. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x20x

A great saving of those piano rolls, I love anything like that, I hope you will share what you create with them? It sounds like you have had a frustrating week with the technical issues and this new blogger is causing so many problems for us all. It seems that blogger just likes to keep us on our toes, we get comfortable then they change the rules again.. we can all learn together, just like living with this virus.
Take good care of yourself, I know it's been a painful time for you recently, look after yourself Hugs Tracey #8 x

We too enjoy the auctions - and find it can be all or nothing! We have found some good things while adding furniture to this new house though... We also often look on 'freecycle' and were very pleased to pick up 3 bar stools a couple of weeks ago. I just had to reupholster them. they were very useful when the granddaughters came over this week. We almost got a pianola last weekend too - but the owner changed his mind about giving it away!

Happy woyww!

We had that Saharan sand one year in the Canaries but bizarre it can get as far as you!! Was not good for my breathing as I recall. I feel your technology pain - everything here is broken, doesn't work or works intermittently - beginning to feel persecuted!! Ha just more crazy in a year of crazy. Stay Safe, stay well, Cindy #27

I do hope the technology starts cooperating with you better soon Sylvia. I also hope the smoke isn't too bad and that things with Covid 19 get better in your state soon. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #2

Hi Sylvia, hope the African desert sand storms didn't affect you too much. We had some giant killer wasps awhile ago, but no mention of them anymore! I wonder what will happen next! Happy 4th of July, I'm sure you will celebrate responsibly. Our Canada Day was very uneventful this year, Trudeau visited a Food Bank, which was very thoughtful of him. Next year (if things are relatively normal) I'm sure we will do double celebrating to make up for it! You have been very busy with those flowers - you must have a lot of patience! What a great buy those piano rolls were, they will make great journal pages! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #34

Sorry to hear you've been having tech problems, Sylvia - is it to do with the new blogger? I hope you get it sorted out soon. I love your paper flowers, and the piano rolls look most intriguing. Do they have holes punched in them? I hope you will show us ow you use them - it's a new one on me!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks so much for visiting this week despite not taking part - I do hope you are soon completely recovered - I have family members who are prone to kidney stones so I know just how ghastly they can be.
I didn't join in last week so your old desk is new to me today!
I love the old piano rolls, I picked some up a few years ago and love using them - and there's a heck of a lot of paper on one roll too so you do get your money's worth! The mottled pink flowers are delightful - I really do love your flower making.
I hope you have good week,
Hugs, Diana xx #14

Thank you for visiting, I am sorry you are having “issues “, one appears to be technology, which can be a real pain! Are these piano rolls for pianos that play by themselves (so to speak)? Would love a close up. Sending love Angela #25
