WOYWW #644

Good Day to All of You.   It's been awhile again, but I haven't forgot about you.  It's the day we share our workspace over at Ms. Julia's HERE.

I have spent a few days in my crafty space

I spent part of one day  stamping floral new stamps on to  kraft paper soon to be cut up
I went on an online binge a few weeks ago. I love getting mail !!!!  So I have to order stuff.
Today I've spent most of the day texturing cardboard/packaging for tags/ATC/etc   Hubby is finishing up his Corn harvest here on this farm, so we'll soon be moving equipment to 1 of 3 other locations.
He takes this combine to the next field about 3 miles away, I pick him up to come back home to pick up
the other tractor and 2 big wagons (Below)  He leaves and I pick him up again for the 2nd tractor and 2 more wagons.  We sometimes make another trip, if I have to be gone to come back home and get his truck, that way he can  come home, go for parts or gas and I don't have to be involved.  It usually takes 2 or 3 days to a field if all goes good. When his wagons are full, he takes them to our Co-Op to unload for storage and sells when the market is GOOD...if there is such a thing.
This is our lane to the road,  I usually walk to the end to get our mail. To the left is a green pasture for the cows who will be anxiously waiting for him to finish the corn on the right so they can be there cleaning up corn etc.  He puts up a lot of electric fence so all the area  is covered and they don't wander to the roadway or other  farmers fields near by.
Having some beautiful fall weather mid 70's and almost no winds. Harvest has been great and the day of rain was OK by me.  These farmers don't quit unless they have to and when it rains they have lots of paper work to get sorted out and enjoy some quiet time.

Wishing you all good things.

WOYWW #640

Greetings to all !  It's been awhile and I've missed all of you.  I did pop in to many just to update myself but left no comments.  Weeks of Vertigo/hip out of place to give me a painful sciatica and I pierced a nerve while eating prime rib small bone that has a jagged edge, getting caught in my partial and that wire edge pierced my gum. Dentist said healing could be 2 wks. So just eating soft items on the left side.

My only activity was trying to keep up with him bringing garden produce from his garden for me to freeze or make juice.  Can be totally exhausting.

Today  I did go downstairs to create, but such an overload of  stacks here, there and everywhere. It will take me weeks to sort out.  We did go to a few thrift shops, garage sales, and car shows. He thought I needed to get out of the house and the walking helped me so much.

My desk:  a few things from the shops.   colored dominoes, 2 German books, beautiful lace, music books, metal door pieces, old 1944 scrap book with discolored papers,  all for mixed media projects I hope to create. !

Then he brought this home.  I've had a hard time getting on/off my regular bike this year, so no riding it.  He really wants me to exercise !!

Linking up with Ms Julia  HERE  and you can visit and/or play along with all of us.

Have a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome, It's early morning here and I am on my way to the County Fair.  We wanted to go early as temps could reach 100.  It's been a busy HOT week and I too didn't get around to make comments, but sometimes time is an issue and sometimes I visit,  love the posts but just don't have the push to post.  ? I don't always know why.

My desk:

Several things started and left      to let glue dry, find small Ephrema for the coin holders, a new die that made that small pizza box in green,  Trying to decide size for some small journals  using what's in this photo.

Linking up with Ms Julia  HERE for some fun.   Wishing you all a good week.  Covid's on a new rage and they are talking Masks again.  Life as we knew it is no doubt not the norm.  Cotton candy here we come !

#633 WOYWW

Oh happy days !  Just remembered it's Wednesday the day we share our desks thru Mr. Linky with our hostess Ms Julia   HERE  It's also my 1st son's birthday,  a Happy 44th I hope. They are now in Germany and what an ordeal it's been.  Since May 13th dislocated from their home in U.S. A.  left June 13th  and still no furniture arriving nor the other car. On a ship somewhere !

My desk:  with the lack of MoJo it's a piece an hour, or a day, a few days skipped as I couldn't take being alone, I went thrifting !!   And I had a great day.  My one desire was a grilled stuffed taco,  an iced Mocha coffee, and later  a piece of coconut cream pie.  I felt like a new person.

I thought I took photos of my found treasures, but couldn't find them this morning to share. But it seems I'm always looking for something. Is it age? Is it I've become so unorganized ? or is it the new updates I constantly have in our famous computer world ?  I wish I knew.

And we too are having a week of high, hot temps 90's with high humidity and a haZe from fires north in Canada, Minnesota and working it's way even from the West coast.  It's depressing. Best to stay inside. We do have air conditioning so I really have no complaints. They are reporting 1930's was much worse, no air, no rain, dust bowls, people dying.  I just googled, Images for Dust 1936 USA  and it was unreal.

Leaving with Good Wishes for all of you.  Stay Safe, we are having a   new Delta variant Covid  and they are not sure if  one shot will stand up for safety . Hospitals are filling up and masks being advised again and prayers.

Thanks for the visits and comments last week.

My desk:  Had some fun making a few collage fronts for  some some ATC pockets.  I loved the one Mary Ann made for our ATC exchange.

In last weeks post I shared an old wooden display of  Playing cards, I took them out today so you could see the fronts......I should have taken photos of the JOKERS  they were adorable, but I was on a time limit.

Most were purchased for 25 cents/to a dollar at garage sales or  from thrift stores.

Wishing you all a great week,  and Thanks for all the great comments last week.

Welcome,  It's almost bedtime here, but I've been up late and sleeping late into the morning. Totally unlike my normal life. No reason "WHY?" We are getting a really much needed rain right now.  Seems so peaceful. It's been below normal for moisture.
Good news from that is we have no mosquitoes.

My desk:   waiting for me to come back,  ambition, MoJo has left for vacation. Even my mind is another place.

Some little pockets/waiting for tags.
The old display recently filled with a collection of old playing cards.
And the 4th of July  corn to be knee high ~!!!!

Sharing with MS Julia's gang at our Wednesday's sharing of the desks. HERE
Thanks for stopping by and for all the great comments last week.

Good Morning !    It's almost the stroke of midnight here, running behind my bedtime !  It's the day we share our workspaces and I'm linking up with Ms Julia once again HERE AND OMGoodness !!! IT IS RAINING.  We need it soooooooooooooo bad.

It's all desks today.

I was Working outside on the patio with tea bags.  Just a beautiful day. No wind, bugs or humidity  73
Then I sort of sorted them out. Want to make a tiny journal another day
But I managed to stamp a few for making some small layered clusters for adding here and there.
One goal is to use stamps I've not touched for a long time. And I'm kind of into "Tiny" these days.

May you all have a beautiful week and Enjoy all things that you love to do.

WOYWW # 628

Welcome friends.   I am scheduling this for our Wednesday desk sharing. I might be gone and I might have the last day of 2 working on finishing up the bathroom.  WHAT a PROCESS.  I can make no plans.

It is very hot here, into the 3rd week with no rain and temps in the high 90's.  Crops will not be good if rain isn't falling soon.  Saturday we had a 3 hr drive to my grandson's graduation party. My sister and husband rode with us. WHAT A PERFECT DAY. So many old friends attended, that I haven't seen since I moved away.  My Son and DIL  did an amazing job with food, decorating and planning. Doesn't seem possible he will be leaving for college in a few months.

Then things kind of turned into a rough week, a funeral for a friend's husband,  my Military son and family had issues with the plane to leave for Germany Sunday out of Baltimore.   Engine light...unloaded, reload No Air Conditioning. unloaded. reloaded hours late into the night and a 6 hour flight to Germany.  They are safe, had no quarantine restrictions, papers in order, but their house was not available. Mix up in tenants / oversee man so until the 28th they have a temporary place ,  Their car and furniture are on a ship. So who knows when .

I really did have some time to work on re arranging my crafty place and I am happy with it. Hope to do a video in a week or so.

Turned the table to line up with the other and cleared out underneath.
The only sort through left.....but it's manageable. It's the desk I collage, and use paints on
My stamping and card making area.  DONE.  I just want some time to play !

Linking up with Julia at the  STAMPING GROUND    Have a great week.

WOYWW #627

Welcome,   so glad you stopped by:

Again, so sorry,  I've no desk to share.  There is no path to any of my work spaces.  I've cleaned out the storage area and have a BIG mess.  The time has flown by with all the rearranging.

This piece has been in our garage for 2 years.  It is VERY heavy and would not fit on any wall in our home, due to heat vents, light switches, thermostats, etc.  So I decided it needed to go to the basement and I would store my fabric and crafty items in it   Well I found 2 young strong men to move this and 4 other pieces. Thank goodness for strong, willing young men.

This piece is also VERY heavy it has an unattached piece of Black Steel for it's top. It has been in our laundry room for many years, not giving me much storage.  So it now resides next to the cubbie. I haven't had time to fill either of these as yet but hope fully by next week the whole area will be again orderly and livable.  The young men's comments "this stuff is REAL HARD WOOD"  it's old.

This is a two piece "old" hutch which sat where the cubbie is now  it is now just off the kitchen across from our small pantry
And this piece was my mother's, has been in our basement storage area 8 years, (Wow where has time gone) now next to the hutch across from our washer and dryer.   I am so glad I made the change.  More space in our garage, which we have sorted and hopefully tomorrow some will be sold to a group of gals adding to their shop.

I have great storage for many kitchen items I could not reach in our kitchen cabinets due to height and my short shrinking body.  And A place to display my Raggedy Ann & Andy items.

This little make shift guest area is full of material and things to abandon.
And now you can see why I've no path to my work tables. !!!!! My desks are 8 ft beyond this mess.
That's my tour for this week!!
This lovely photo has items from Angela/Felix the Cat Blog  and her ATC.  Thanks Angela your ATC is amazing and I love the  substitute post card  of the Cathedral.

Linking up with JULIA at the STAMPING GROUND
Thanks for stopping by,  it's hot here  a week of 95 degree weather days, could only work in our garage early in the mornings at 73 degrees.  Hubby is busy Watering garden/grass/flowers, and we are thankful for air conditioning.   Have a wonderful week   and Thanks for the great comments from last week.

I met 2 classmates for lunch from Des Moines area and  Jolene blessed me with a Rose bush in honor of my Mother,  It's had 4 beautiful roses.  Lunch was great with that added piece of homemade pie.

Then we were off the the City to attend my Grandson's High School Graduation. I was so thankful our State has opened up attendance in full force.  Or like most all their other events we would have been live streaming. The Presidential Award  not pictured,  This award recognizes students that show outstanding educational growth, improvement, commitment or intellectual development in their academic subjects but do not meet the criteria for the Educational Excellence Award. Awards night for academics was lived streamed and he had METAL, about 13 trips across that stage  for Academic's and the National Honor Society.

So Proud of this young man....Off to Iowa State in the fall  Majoring in Engineering  His award here was The schools J HAWK  for 3 years of Swimming, Cross County Track and Track & Field.
