Linking up with Julia our hostess

My desk:  Had some fun making a few collage fronts for  some some ATC pockets.  I loved the one Mary Ann made for our ATC exchange.

In last weeks post I shared an old wooden display of  Playing cards, I took them out today so you could see the fronts......I should have taken photos of the JOKERS  they were adorable, but I was on a time limit.

Most were purchased for 25 cents/to a dollar at garage sales or  from thrift stores.

Wishing you all a great week,  and Thanks for all the great comments last week.

WOYWW #631

Welcome,  It's almost bedtime here, but I've been up late and sleeping late into the morning. Totally unlike my normal life. No reason "WHY?" We are getting a really much needed rain right now.  Seems so peaceful. It's been below normal for moisture.
Good news from that is we have no mosquitoes.

My desk:   waiting for me to come back,  ambition, MoJo has left for vacation. Even my mind is another place.

Some little pockets/waiting for tags.
The old display recently filled with a collection of old playing cards.
And the 4th of July  corn to be knee high ~!!!!

Sharing with MS Julia's gang at our Wednesday's sharing of the desks. HERE
Thanks for stopping by and for all the great comments last week.

Welcome, so glad you stopped by, we are sharing our Wednesday desks.  Ms Julia has all the info
HERE
My new sink, and commode   I might paint the walls a soft gray eventually. Just happy to have this done.
Work Space...it's why we're here   We had RAIN. So I had time to create a few odd things.
This is what I created from all the mess below.. Clusters, they need to be glued/sewn together
Then I put together 3 master boards.  Not exactly sure about this one
The top one will be for ATC's / 3x3 cards  and the bottom one for post cards
Here are a few book pages with napkin applied.....some little pockets still in the works
Now this won't let me post any more....never knew there was a limit.  Thanks for visiting and Thanks for all the great comments last week.  Enjoy a great week

Good Morning !    It's almost the stroke of midnight here, running behind my bedtime !  It's the day we share our workspaces and I'm linking up with Ms Julia once again HERE AND OMGoodness !!! IT IS RAINING.  We need it soooooooooooooo bad.

It's all desks today.

I was Working outside on the patio with tea bags.  Just a beautiful day. No wind, bugs or humidity  73
Then I sort of sorted them out. Want to make a tiny journal another day
But I managed to stamp a few for making some small layered clusters for adding here and there.
One goal is to use stamps I've not touched for a long time. And I'm kind of into "Tiny" these days.

May you all have a beautiful week and Enjoy all things that you love to do.

WOYWW # 628

Welcome friends.   I am scheduling this for our Wednesday desk sharing. I might be gone and I might have the last day of 2 working on finishing up the bathroom.  WHAT a PROCESS.  I can make no plans.

It is very hot here, into the 3rd week with no rain and temps in the high 90's.  Crops will not be good if rain isn't falling soon.  Saturday we had a 3 hr drive to my grandson's graduation party. My sister and husband rode with us. WHAT A PERFECT DAY. So many old friends attended, that I haven't seen since I moved away.  My Son and DIL  did an amazing job with food, decorating and planning. Doesn't seem possible he will be leaving for college in a few months.

Then things kind of turned into a rough week, a funeral for a friend's husband,  my Military son and family had issues with the plane to leave for Germany Sunday out of Baltimore.   Engine light...unloaded, reload No Air Conditioning. unloaded. reloaded hours late into the night and a 6 hour flight to Germany.  They are safe, had no quarantine restrictions, papers in order, but their house was not available. Mix up in tenants / oversee man so until the 28th they have a temporary place ,  Their car and furniture are on a ship. So who knows when .

I really did have some time to work on re arranging my crafty place and I am happy with it. Hope to do a video in a week or so.

Turned the table to line up with the other and cleared out underneath.
The only sort through left.....but it's manageable. It's the desk I collage, and use paints on
My stamping and card making area.  DONE.  I just want some time to play !

Linking up with Julia at the  STAMPING GROUND    Have a great week.

WOYWW #627

Welcome,   so glad you stopped by:

Again, so sorry,  I've no desk to share.  There is no path to any of my work spaces.  I've cleaned out the storage area and have a BIG mess.  The time has flown by with all the rearranging.

This piece has been in our garage for 2 years.  It is VERY heavy and would not fit on any wall in our home, due to heat vents, light switches, thermostats, etc.  So I decided it needed to go to the basement and I would store my fabric and crafty items in it   Well I found 2 young strong men to move this and 4 other pieces. Thank goodness for strong, willing young men.

This piece is also VERY heavy it has an unattached piece of Black Steel for it's top. It has been in our laundry room for many years, not giving me much storage.  So it now resides next to the cubbie. I haven't had time to fill either of these as yet but hope fully by next week the whole area will be again orderly and livable.  The young men's comments "this stuff is REAL HARD WOOD"  it's old.

This is a two piece "old" hutch which sat where the cubbie is now  it is now just off the kitchen across from our small pantry
And this piece was my mother's, has been in our basement storage area 8 years, (Wow where has time gone) now next to the hutch across from our washer and dryer.   I am so glad I made the change.  More space in our garage, which we have sorted and hopefully tomorrow some will be sold to a group of gals adding to their shop.

I have great storage for many kitchen items I could not reach in our kitchen cabinets due to height and my short shrinking body.  And A place to display my Raggedy Ann & Andy items.

This little make shift guest area is full of material and things to abandon.
And now you can see why I've no path to my work tables. !!!!! My desks are 8 ft beyond this mess.
That's my tour for this week!!
This lovely photo has items from Angela/Felix the Cat Blog  and her ATC.  Thanks Angela your ATC is amazing and I love the  substitute post card  of the Cathedral.

Linking up with JULIA at the STAMPING GROUND
Thanks for stopping by,  it's hot here  a week of 95 degree weather days, could only work in our garage early in the mornings at 73 degrees.  Hubby is busy Watering garden/grass/flowers, and we are thankful for air conditioning.   Have a wonderful week   and Thanks for the great comments from last week.

Welcome,  what a delightful day weather wise.  Forecast similar all week.  Was outside most of the day, walking, weeding, and enjoy deck time.  More HAPPY MAIL arrived today.  Each envelope contained a lot of love and beautiful creations.  I thank you so much.

We haven't been home, I haven't been at my desk,
I met 2 classmates for lunch from Des Moines area and  Jolene blessed me with a Rose bush in honor of my Mother,  It's had 4 beautiful roses.  Lunch was great with that added piece of homemade pie.

Then we were off the the City to attend my Grandson's High School Graduation. I was so thankful our State has opened up attendance in full force.  Or like most all their other events we would have been live streaming. The Presidential Award  not pictured,  This award recognizes students that show outstanding educational growth, improvement, commitment or intellectual development in their academic subjects but do not meet the criteria for the Educational Excellence Award. Awards night for academics was lived streamed and he had METAL, about 13 trips across that stage  for Academic's and the National Honor Society.

Here we are with him in his Cap and Gown.

So Proud of this young man....Off to Iowa State in the fall  Majoring in Engineering  His award here was The schools J HAWK  for 3 years of Swimming, Cross County Track and Track & Field.
Well it's the middle of the night and I am ready for good Dreams.  Linking up with Ms Julia at

May you all have a wonderful week and Enjoy all that comes your way.

WOYWW #625

Welcome, It's 7 A M  and one of the first days in over a week that the SUNSHINE arrived. Humidity gone, windows open and ready for a cabinet/sink to be installed after a 4 week wait.  But unusable for at least 2 wks as the sink man is installing a kitchen.  My PATIENCE has left and a bad attitude is about to unfold.
My Desk: New stamps and trying a color chart for distress inks/oxides  Love the new leaves, need to make a few tags

I am thankful for WOYWW, I've enjoyed the visits. Here are most of the ATC's,  I didn't make them all the same, I tried for individual interests, as I had lots of ideas and limited duplicate ephemera.

Linking up with Julia at STAMPING GROUND

WOYWW #624 ANNIVERSARY DAY

Welcome.....Time to be

All of  the weekly "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" group has been sharing ups and downs for quite sometime.  THANKS to Ms. JULIA at the STAMPING GROUND   I have so much enjoyed all the visits to your desks, your inspiration, your comments and understanding.  I LOVED seeing some of you thru the ZOOM gathering. Looking forward to many more fun adventures.  And a dream of visiting you in person at some point.  My son will be back in Germany for another 3 years, so just maybe....................... a May visit during the crop?

My ATC's will be in the Morning Mail to those of you who sent me info and the one with this post.
Hoping for quick delivery,  I didn't decorate the envelope......I read an article on google and it sounded as though it could cause delays/or returns.

My desk:   Just one last look to who they are going to

The Post Card I made,  they were kind of scarce locally  and I didn't come close to a city or visitor's center , but the Face of it is good.

Thank ALL of you for being a friend. And EXTRA HUGS to JULIA for making it all happen.

   Enjoy a great week

WOYWW #623

Good day to you,  I'm quite late with my post, but we were gone Tuesday, so couldn't schedule, and turned out I had to be off to the paint store early today. Strange hours.  A beautiful day here and I hope to get time to walk.

A sweet find on my Tuesday day away.
My distress area desk:  at a stand still as my desk next to this has almost finished ATC cards

And someone posted stacks awhile back:  We came across these

I noticed comments on Post Cards hard to find...I haven't been to the CITY or Rest stop area shops, so found an IOWA one someone sent me,  I made some copies on cardstock of the front and will finish the back side I hope you like it.

Will  be partaking in the ATC swap and if anyone is interested in exchange I shared my email in a previous post.  Will try to finish up and get off into the mail yet this week.   Ms Julia HERE  has info for playing along.

Thanks for the visits last week, Enjoy a lovely week.

WOYWW #622

Welcome, the wee hours of the morning here, and hard to believe it's Wednesday. The week went so fast. It's time to visit What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, over at Ms. Julia's blog  Here. Her desk has some loveliness today.

My desk: wanted a larger photo but today I cannot make it happen,  ??? Just glad I can post a photo

a few new things I ordered and such quick mailing, I was totally amazed.  Gathered a few items to finish up the ATC's  and my postcard is in the works.  Thanks Julia for checking on the envelope idea. I'll make it simple, not worth having mail rejected.

Some spare time so I went to a few thrift/antique stores close by having a reopening celebration.  I thought I purchased wallpaper but it is wrapping paper, but will be so fun to use.  Loved the variety of leaves.  Metal Letters,  L  for Hubby's birthday  and the A first initial of my grand kids last name. There was a C (3 of the grandkids 1st name)  also but didn't make the photo.

We had almost and inch of some much needed rain and oh did the grass turn green the corn is peeping through my hubs fields, and the garden is happy.  Sunshine will help my Hosta's and these Viola's are tough as nails.
Thanks for all your visits last week, I was able to visit most everyone, I feel things are getting back to normal !!!!  No more work on the bathroom for a while ....seems pandemic has a backlog of stocking potty's,  The lady had to go pick up the vanity but delayed as had a funeral, and  I can't find a painter !!!!   But I am dealing with the halls/doorways being passable, but sucking in and leaving a night light on so I don't stub my toes.

Thanks for stopping by.    Have a great week, enjoy some outdoor time, it's good for the soul.
