My Desk:
I was working with tea bags, dried them, carefully took them apart and gave the tea to the garden. I've saved these for awhile. Hoping to add stamping to them and use in a few projects.
We have had a mess here; Since last week no doubt over 10 inches of rain. This came on Wednesday night. We drove out to his fields. He has rain gauges on each property. They all were about the same over 5 inches. And it has rained more each day up until Tuesday.
This was on our way to a smaller town and several roads were closed for us to get there. These 2 photos are fields of corn that was about knee high. I doubt that this field will produce.
Tuesday we had humidity and sunshine and some ponds are draining to the streams/rivers causing dangerous flooding in many places. But we are blessed. We never lost electricity, there was not much wind. Nor did we have flooding in our basement. Many in town had 3 feet and lost furnaces./air conditioning/ washer/dryers,carpet and all contents at that level. Some towns have a no water usage, as it has been contaminated, so water has been brought in.
I must go, we have someone here to install a new water heater. Thank You for stopping by

Bless you. Your weather looks awful.....and there’s us complaining of temps up near 30 degrees. We’re just not used to it here.
Hugs,

All that rain must be a nightmare for you farmers! All the seed and effort gone to waste. I really pray it is ok and you are able to go ahead and have it produce! Your desk is very interesting this morning. I would have never thought to use tea bags to stamp on...how interesting!
I’m in constant amazement at the weather extremes you endure, those corn fields are an incredible sight; what a huge loss of crop it causes. It’s hard.
Teabags then...if in doubt, if in trouble, if in peril, brew some tea - surprised you aren’t knee deep in them! I’ve seen them now and again in use as stamping paper and always admired the look, so no doubt you will lead the way and actually inspire me!
I won’t keep up the walking by the way, not without the dog....but I’ll walk fast behind a cart and think of you this afternoon when I go get groceries!!
Pleased to hear the flooding didn't do damage to you as it did to others. The tea bag idea, that's fab, may have to try it too

Wow Sylvia that is a lot of rain in a short time. Glad you managed to avoid flooding at home and loss of power. Hope you manage to sort your ICT annoyances and look forward to seeing your teabags after crafty use. It's worth checking out Zsuzsa's blog as she did a tiny piece of art on a tea bag base. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
What a disaster. We had 2 inches one night, almost 2" another night, and one inch last night. I was lucky my basement didn't flood for once. Those fields look pathetic. In western KS, we've had drought and they were afraid we wouldn't get any wheat this year. NOW, the rains have come and the combines can't even get into the fields. The life of a farmer!
I want to come play with your tea bags and make tea art with you (grin). Thanks for the earlier visit and I'll send you a note soon. Can't get on my e-mail right now for some reason. Happy WOYWW from #3.
Hi Sylvia, good to hear you are safe there, even after so much rain. Those fields look awful, I do feel for the poor farmers. Totally at the mercy of the weather. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX
Goodness, it sounds pretty dramatic where you are - I'm so glad you weren't too badly affected but I do feel for the poor people who had to deal with flooding - what a grim task that can be.
I love working with teabags so am very much looking forward to seeing what you do with yours - they are such a fun size to work on.
Hope you have a good week, with improved weather,

Hi Sylvia. The weather is really strange at the moment, unusually for the UK we haven't had any rain for weeks and there is a moorland wildfire near Manchester homes have been evacuated so it's pretty serious. They could do with some of your rain I think. I love your Teabags, I've used some of those on a journal page which was great fun. Have a great woyww and take care. Thanks for the visit to mine, Angela x13x
oh my, how awful.... loving the teabag play though. Helen #2
Wow. how horrid. The UK is the total opposite at the moment. I look forward to seeing what you do with the teabags.. it is not something I have ever tried crafting with. Thanks for sharing. Caro x (#42)
Your weather is awful - just when ours has taken a turn for the better - funny old world isn't it. xx Jo
Oh Sylvia it seems that no matter where we are is the world we all seem to be scratching our heads wondering what the next day will bring regarding the weather, hope all will be safe with you.
Your tea bag art looks so calming with a little extra feed for the garden with those left over leaves..
I sympathise with you so much regarding windows 10, I found out today that a large chunk of my cloud storage has gone too so not sure where all that stuff is, luckily mine is now backed up and i'm running with the minimum of pictures and pages as possible.
Thank you for your visit earlier and sharing WOYWW.
Creative wishes for drier days Tracey #4 xx
